loneliness is better
« on: September 01, 2011, 09:31:59 AM »
This issue concerns not only our people but all those created by RT

It is known that she prefers to write stories full of unrequited loves, because they give more ideas (both funny and dramatic) to capture the attention of the readers.

When UY ended all the "love situations" remained unresolved but it is easy to predict that Megane, and Chibi Kakugari had remained single (perhaps Perma / Kousuke not, since that first time, had already had a girlfriend)

The point is: do you think that a character like Mendo Shutaro would prefer to stay single for the rest of the life because he won't never be able to "own" Lamù all for him ?

Yet it would be enough to get up a finger to get a real harem at his feet (which could never have Ataru).

Talking about Ranma 1 / 2, do you think that a gorgeous girl as Sham Poo would prefer to stay single for life rather than "surrender" and marry Mousse?

In the last episode of this series she mentions to him a smile but, in later cartoons, is clearly seen in the that still has an interest in Ranma.

The only clue we have in the manga "Maison Ikkoku": Kozue Nanao falls in love with  Godai but her feelings won't be never returned and when he married Kyoko she will prefer the solitude !

The main question is: do you think that the characters I mentioned they prefer the solitude, living a perpetual remorse, or they would take the bet to fall in love with someone else?

Above all: do you think that the "hopeless cases" as Megane, Chibi and Kakugari would be able to settle down?

Well, you're right. More questions are created when you see characters are lonely. That's the point because until they get with someone, fans will keep watching the animes in hopes of finding out. A lot of shows are like that.

I think a lot of them will move on if it was realistic.

I think a lot of the interpersonal relationships they have in Anime are exploratory in nature. The fact that they can do that sort of thing because it's an anime. No way the girls in Azumanga Daioh would never date guys.

Exploring interpersonal relationships can be funny, enlightening and entertaining.

Real life is a bit more mundane especially if your GF can't fly and zap you.  :hehe

That said I also think that most of the characters would move on. In fact Lums Stormtroopers did in one episode or movie, but came to their senses.

Mendou = not single.
Stormtroopers = not single.
Shampoo = single.

My thoughts.

I see Shampoo as a "Ranma or no deal". xD

I agree with cata. Shampoo only wants Ranma. At least that's what I gathered from watching every episode and OVA and reading the manga. xP
