What are your favorite non-Japanese Anime cartoons? I'm sure there have got to be a few out there that can come up with some favorite cartoons that don't originate from Japan. I know I have a few of them. I'll post mine after I get some responses.

I've seen all the anime on air in (italians) TV from 1977 to 1990.

The best one (of course) is Lamù.

But I've loved also GUNDAM: for the first time it was showed a fiction war that didn't opposite humans versus cruel aliens (or other devils) but a REAL WAR (with REAL situation) who opposited humans to other humans.

I've liked also Goldrake (the real name was "UFO ROBOT GRENDIZER", translated - MISTERIOUSLY - in italian as "ATLAS UFO ROBOT"): it was the first one anime showed in Italy (it was 1977 and it was a real shock for all the nation: some parents arrived to propose a petition to the parlament for  forbidding to show that anime anymore, because it was "TOO VIOLENT" !!!) and I cannot forget the "first love".

Ah, but I'm looking for shows that AREN'T Japanese, like UY or Gundam (never heard of the 3rd, so I can't say anything about that). Spouting off a bunch of well-known anime is a typical response to "what are your favorite cartoons", but I want people to put their brain into it, so I asked for non-Japanese cartoons.

Take those: all of the Walt Disney, Hanna & Barbera and Warner Bros production, without forgetting Tom & Jerry and (even if wasn't a cartoon) the "Muppet' show".

And also the WYNX, the only italian cartoon famous all over the world: I've to get up to date with this one, I think that our daughter will love it so much.

.... because, finally, I WILL BE ABLE AGAIN TO LOOK AN ANIME/CARTOON ON TV !!!!
