Good idea with cherry.

The dance in the video includes parts where each of the three gets to dance in center, which is close enough to "solo parts"

Yes, it is a song.

Who would look good in green for the last dancer?

Hummm there's one more girl who can pick from UY that I almost forgot the princess Kurama... But I think we should take only Lum closest friends... humm how about making the video with 4 characters in it? with Lum, Benten, Ran and Oyuki?
It's pretty logic: 4 old friends dancing for fun

I dunno how to fit a fourth person in, where the chorus is only sung three times.

Humm.. I guess you're right... it's hard to fit a fourth person...
so let's summarize..
We have to choose 3 characters form UY... The first is Lum (the yellow girl) the second is bentend (the red girl) and now we have to choose a third one for the green one.... Humm... I know she doesn't wear green clothes but how about Ran? Lum, benten and ran are childhood friends, seeing them dancing toghether is pretty easy to figure out

I don't see Oyuki dancing like that anyway :P

Okay... now we gotta... think of the video timeline. I'm gonna download the video later, then make a 2D timeline of what we're gonna make.

U said u were good with Flash CS4?

I'm good at adobe after FX CS4 and a little bit with adobe photoshop, but just a little and Afrer FX is mainly for camera vidoes... I can make good animated text and basic color keying but I don't know anything about flash :\
BTW I have a good editing program, it's pinnacle studio 11

I could draw some of the characters, then we just need to be able to move the limbs.

I don't have time to read all the posts so I don't really know if you have already a song but I really think Queen (the band) is the perfect match for any UY AMV, craze, etc.

We are spamming machines  :Y
anyway we have chosen to emulate this song with UY characters

But if you think that a particual song of the Queen is fit for this role, please tell us ;)
