I think that it's time to Lum's daughter Mayuka have is own topic. Everyone please tell what you think of her, if she is seemed with Lum or Ataru, how she will be in the future and especially try to find new pictures of her to i'll post some already knowed.

Mayuka seems like an interesting character indeed, being a future daughter of Lum and ataru,may be. But I like the series just the way they are with nothing changed. But still, I'm willing to discuss it.

I deep support Mayuka not by I discovered the website and brought Mayuka to the forum but because I like to think what could be the future of Ataru and Lum, and I found it

I think Mayuka is a pretty well thought character. She's like her mother in a lot of aspects.

She looks a lot like her, for a start. There's a manga where her hair isn't in ponytails, and with her hair down she looks just like Lum.
Also, she has Lum's carefree personality and always seems to be happy.

I think it will be Mayuka that will lead Lum and Ataru into having their second child (though I don't understand Japanese, I think Mayuka asks for a brother after playing a while with Shinobu and Inaba's second child, a daughter).

I remember that it was so funny but it's very easy to understand just watching



In the first Mayuka says to Lum that Shinobu will have a new baby and she thinks it adorable and ask very shyly if she can have another brother/sister



Here we see Lum's reaction and starts to think.



In the third Lum seems to agreed and tells to Mayuka that everything is gonna be alright.
Finally we see Ataru reaction that also agreed.

That's what you think nebbo but this manga of UY it passes several years later of the serie. It doesn't seem because Lum look like she have 17 years old. On this manga I think Lum have 24/25 no more no less

Yeah, I just can't imagine her as a mother, in my mind Tomobiki is frozen in time.
It'd still be nice to have it translated.

About if Rumiko Takahashi okay this I don't know, and the manga you have to see I will not tell

Dang it.... Can't read it.  I hope it's an actual manga -- not fanfiction.  Takahashi left the series open.  I'd like to assume that Lum and Ataru do get together.  Mayuka makes that possible... but is it fanfiction?

No it's not but every month is updating with new things and you also can translate the website if you want

In a way it is,however it qualifies far better as a Doujinshi or a Gaiden (side-story) as it really progresses as a normal manga,eyedtentea

So the definitive end to UY is Movie 5 (which stays true to the manga)?  Some of the OVAs and Movie 6 were released after Movie 5 but the END is Movie 5... right?  

Takahashi hasn't revisited or approved of any further stories?  Any prints or web postings are just fanfiction, doujinshi or gaiden?  That is to say, it's not necessarily what Rumiko was intending to happen -- just what other people perceived might happen.

(I'd like closure to this series.  One can hope that Lum and Ataru find happiness together, but until Takahashi okay's it, then we'll never know.)

More or less,here is the most probable chronology at da anime

-The 195 anime series episodes
-Movies 1,2 and 3 and TV Specials happened between the series
-After episode 195 comes Movie 4
-The OVAS appear
-Movie 5 "The Final Chapter"

There is no problem if Movie 6 is after or before The Final Chapter,it barely alters da UY saga
