Got Neon Genesis Evangelion for the N64.

I've got the anime based game Neon Genesis Evangelion for the Nintendo 64, a Japan only game that needs a Japanese (J-NTSC) or modified American (NTSC) N64 to play Japanese games on. The game is great It is technically good for the console feature lengthy cutscenes and music from the anime and the graphics are great for the time requiring the RAM expansion pack as used by classics Zelda Ocarina of Time and Zelda Majoras mask. If you liked the aesthetics of the anime then you'll like the game as it matches the look of the show very well. One good mechanic is that certain attacks can be only be used when the pilots reach a certain synchronisation percentage with the EVA which is raised by attacking successfully and is lowered by taking damage. I find it fairly hard although I'm not a casual gamer, I'm not exactly an expert and have played through games like Zelda Ocarina of Time.  The only downside is a slight lag when pressing the buttons.

Note: the graphical errors in this video are due to problems with emulators and are not present in the actual game.

Note: To modify an american N64 all you have to do is break of two tabs that block the game from entering the cartridge. Or you can play USA games on a Japanese console.

This was a pretty good game. I played it for a emu(not as good as a controller...) but it was still pretty fun on the PC. But anyways the game looked nice, played well, and you have your straight EVA anime story. The only thing i really hated was the mission where you snipe the giant pyramid.
