Even so, Ataru's parents and Cherry were trying (without much success) to reunite the two Atarus into one body. I think that's a very bad idea. The Ataru that wanted to stay with Shinobu was not a lecher. If they let each of the Atarus live with the woman of their choice, they wouldn't have much to worry about. But then, I guess the series would've ended there if that happened.

I think that would be a good way to make Ataru jealous. She should've told him that he could have a harem only on the condition that she have one too. Of course, Ataru would have none of that. He would still want a harem, but he would never let her have one.
