Hoppy New Year -- 2011
« on: December 31, 2010, 10:18:53 PM »
2011 is the Year of the Rabbit in Chinese & Japanese mythologies.

So, it only seems fitting to make Tewi Inaba, the Good Luck Earth-Rabbit-Girl  from Touhou Project, an unofficial spokesmodel for 2011. :*)

Best Wishes for a Safe and Happy New Year, everybody! Let's make 2011 the best year ever. ^O^

An amazing find, ALF! Looked to see the upload (to YouYube) date: in 2009. Proof once again that Lum lives forever in the hearts of her fans.

Like them? I LOVE them! EsPECially the last one!!! Lum AND Reimu Hakurei (from the amazing Touhou Project)!!?!?!?! I can't identify the 3rd girl (on the left); any help here?

Cross-posted at KeyAniFans (where a certain Touhou-lovin' W0lf will be confused and amused).

Made my day here, CosmicKing. Thank you!

Well... I thought it was Lum, Akane (not Reimu) and Kagome from Rumiko's 3 hits.

Well... I thought it was Lum, Akane (not Reimu) and Kagome from Rumiko's 3 hits.

Mmm, good point. THAT would make more sense. I was going from the miko outfit the one on the right's wearing (specifically, the shoulderless sleeve things that are so iconic of Reimu's specific miko outfit).

Is Akane's hair that long, 'though? I really don't know Ranma1/2 or Inuyasha but I dimly recall Akane is very petite and has short hair. The girl on the left would qualify for that. Maybe that's Kagome on the right (but again, is Kagome's hair that long and in that style? Does she have brown eyes?)?

No. No. I refuse to believe this! I've lived my 54 years in deep Denial of your so-called Realities, and I'm not about to stop living in Denial now! That's Reimu, I tell you --- REIMU!!!!  |:(

Well... Happy New year to all of you.

Need to put my anime watching up to date (been doing a 2 day marathon) I cant even remember what series I just watched... XD

And I agree with Neo... Last picture looks like Akane, Lum and Kagome...

the right one is probably Kagome (has long hair and has been known as a "priestess")

the left one is Akane (who used to have long blue hair but it got cut short in episode 6 or 7 and remained that way for the rest of the series. It's style tends to change depending on whether she's in the TV series or a movie/OVA) She does look short in comparison to the other two.

It's a shame they cut her hair short, big disappointment moment in the anime. :(
And I believe she is a bit shorter then most girls around here, which would mean she's a bit shorter than most girls, though you do have to notice that in the pic she's a bit lower comparesd to Lum and Kagome.

I really liked long-haired Akane. She even used to resemble my best friend. =)

But I totally understood why she kept her hair like that and more importantly, why Rumiko cut her hair.

In japanese culture, long hair is very important to japanese women. So, by having Ranma (I blame Ryoga, though), accidentally, cut Akane's hair that short, it meant like a huge fight between them. Hence the title of episode 9. And what happens when a major fight happens? The make up is even better. I mean, they barely knew each other and Akane was able to forgive Ranma just like that. She even left it short like "it's just hair, I guess".

And the same kind of thing happened between Lum and Ataru. Just that argument between them that Ataru wins so he goes party everynight and finally comes home exhausted and just when he can't take it anymore, he falls to Lum's feet, hugs her, appologizes and falls asleep on her lap. I mean, that was one of the best scenes of UY.

But coming back to Akane, I think her new look is easy to get used to.

Saved! Thank you, Oh Gracious and Wise Cosmic King!

Hm. Y'know, the only way a pretty girl would ever look at me that way ...  is if she'd just awakened and hadn't put her glasses on yet.

After looking at the picture I noticed she might be missing a foot... (and a weird leg)

So the ideal girl is... a visually impaired one footed drunk woman... nice... ;D

Seriously, when you don't have confidence you can't get anyone. I'm serious. Heck, the most handsome / pretty man / woman couldn't never have a lover if they didn't have any confidence in themselves.

;)
