UPDATE:

K-ON! will premiere in April on TBS. The cast has also been unchanged (some fans thought it would have to change, so now I'm relieved ^^')

Looking forward to it ('cause if I try to look backward to it, I get a crick in my neck)! Still surprised no-one has optioned it for NorthHamerican release yet; maybe once they have 24+ epi's they'll put it out for region1.

To be quite honest, I really hope it never does, or at least never gets dubbed. I like the show the way it is, it would lose it's charm if it got "americanized".

yep this is one of the things that it should only stay in japan, since its hard to match cute Japanese voices

I know this argument's been made before, but you don't HAVE to listen to the dubbed soundtrack if you don't want to. You can leave it (almost any "it") on Japanese and enjoy the original voice talent.

Where I draw the line is when they dub the songs. UGH! :r  Bad Idea. (Haruhi proved that)

we don't like dubs because we like the impact they gave us and expect the same with the dubs, but it's just isn't there. but sometimes dubs are good, you just have to see them from another perspective

don't like dubbed songs? then give this a try

k-on! maybe??

Cristina vee is a professional voice actor that makes unofficial dubs for fun, you should check her channel, she's got great stuff

Japanese dubs vs English dubs have been discussed extensively here. I just wanted to change the pace of thing a bit here

K-ON! dub has just started popping up not too long ago, which came from Animax asia. Apparently dubbed in Singapore :S You can find it in the usual anime streaming sites, and YouTube too.

I tried watching it, it's not the worst dub I've heard... i dunno, just something about Yui, Mio and Ritsu's voice that bugs me...

UPDATE: They just announced today they are releasing a game, by none other than SEGA. They are never gonna stop milking this, aren't they? XD http://www.thebanzaieffect.com/articles/tanaka-kun/k-on-gets-game-made-by-sega/

EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! I will personally wear out the 1st segment: a wonderful tutorial on the guitar arrangement of Watashi no Koi wa Hocchikisu --- nice chords, interesting voicings. Really makes me stretch the ol' musical brain cells as well as the fingers. Good Stuff, me mateys!

And, what's this in the preview? Does Yui get a second guitar? *gasp* Will Giitah be jealous (I'll bet she will!)?

It got subbed today, the episode is floating around the usual streaming sites.

At first, the new OP kinda turned me off, but it grew on me a little when you watch it a few times. I still like the season 1 OP a lot more. The ED is just.... meh... but I like it a tad better than the season 1 ED. The episode itself wasn't the most fun to watch, but I'll give this season time to develop.

Miss Azusa Nakano arrives

Azusa's figurine did not sell-out in pre-order as Yui's did, so acquisition was a breeze.

Just past the halfway point in Season 2 ...
Spoiler (hover to show)

Finally, some heartening news: Bandai has (finally!!!) licensed K-On (both "!" and "!!") for region 1. Possibly dubbed (wonder if I'll even want to listen to an English dub after 26 episodes in Japanese). No release date has been given, but it's just a matter of time now.
