Topic: Episode 16-1 "Oh, Lonely Teacher"

For personal satisfaction, Episode 16, the first half, "Oh, Lonely Teacher" is the best.

First, Ataru gets a healthy helping of well-deserved abuse from Kuribayashi-sensei. Especially because Sensei does it because of Ataru's ill-mannered treatment of Lum.

Then, it is the wonderful chance to take Lum on a date. Sure, Lum was put up to it. But she acts the part so well. Oh, how delightful to have that chance!

Of course, I cut off the playback right as Lum is asking for a good night's kiss, but hey, it is the dream of all of us to kiss Lum at least once--isn't it?

I liked that episode too... I even noticed that the artwork looks better in that and some other episodes. And, in the Italian version, Lum is dubbed by a different person, which is far better than the usual one: I've always wondered why they didn't dub her with that voice.

A friend of mine could kill you for saying that Roberta Gallina (she should be the dubber of Lum in  that episode) is better of Rosalinda Galli (the dubber of Lum for 2/3 of the Italian serie)!
He loves that voice, even more than the japanese (that fool!! }:|)
I liked very much the dubbing of Rosalinda Galli, she was very, very good in her performance...
Roberta Gallina had a better voice (well, maybe not really better...more suitable!!), but was not so good; I think she was lacking in experience, she may improuve a lot!!
Certainly she was better of the dubber of the third part (in Italy only three season of 5 have been dubbed, each one with a different crew!! ), she was terrible!!! }:| I think that voice could have been that of a man!!! ;(

Yep, I agree... Roberta Gallina's voice was better, but she sounded somehow inexperienced. She sounds far more "cute and innocent" than Rosalinda Galli's, maybe that's why I liked it. Never heard about that third dubber, though looks like it wasn't that much of a loss

However, after you've heard Fumi Hirano... every other dubber sucks!

I hate when that happens. The dubbed-ness...Ranma was also horribly mutilated too.  }:| groar groar.

That episode and a few others were re-dubbed because the actual Italian publisher..."lost" the previous ones!!!
What a distracted bunch of guys, aren't they??? }:| }:|
Not only Lum's, all the characters voice in those episodes was changed...
Too bad, the first crew was the best, especially Ataru was dubbed in the greatest way ever!!!

Dubbs sucks almost always, the only dubb that actually wasn't any bad was the portuguese dubb of dragon ball. The original voices are always better anyway.

That's why I've been looking for the subtitled episodes, but I found them only up to the 90th... 
I still miss the part never aired in Italy...

Just to complete this topic, I believe that the writers and artists on this episode really got into the show. I can't prove it, but I feel as if they felt the emotions and really put their heart into the episode.
