I wonder which one is true!?

I downloaded a torrent but... if you don't have the right software it might be tricky.

Here's why: The torrent basically contains all the movies (possibly the exception of movie 2 but you can get it from a similar torrent). The files, though, are MKV(?) type. Each of these files comes with the following:

Video
Japanese Audio
English Audio
English Subtitle (style 1)
English Subtitle (Style 2)

The advantage is that you can turn each movie into a japanese w/ subs version and a subless english version using software such as MKVmerge GUI then AlltoAVI.

MKVmerge GUI allows you to remove parts of the file. EX. you can remove the English Audio and one of the subs for a subbed japanese dubbed version then use AlltoAVI to turn it into a playable format.

If you HAVE the player for MKV's already, then that player should be able to allow you to switch subs or audio through something like "edit, view, file, etc"

But first things first, do you want to go to all this trouble? If so, tell me and I will send u the link to the torrent and after which try to help you through steps.

LoL

Now you tell him... XD

What's that supposed to mean? I replied like 3 hours after he posted 0.0

Well, you COULD go through all the long process you describe. That's one way.

Or you can just make sure your subtitle settings on your media player are right, because the MKV files of the UY movies (and the MKVs of both the UY TV anime and the OVAs) that are floating around out in torrentspace, they already have the subtitles built in.
Excuse me, have you seen my mind? I seem to have misplaced it...

hey thanks a lot, i didn't know about those stuff in MKV files.

Just one more question, in my case i'm trying to watch them on media player classic. I can see the option of subtitle and audio, but even  if i change the subtitle for any of eng subs, it just doesn't appear the subs in the screen... do you know why??? thanks a lot

I think the same thin happens to me. have you tried opening it with Windows Video Player?

If that doesn't work, you may need to use the software i mentioned

No, I use regular Media Player, and the subtitles work every time for me, so you really don't need to go through all that editing process. The settings are there somewhere, but I think they're somewhere in the codec's settings. I don't remember exactly where, though. All I remember is that I had trouble finding them too, but once I set it up I never had to touch them again.

If you're gonna do that, get the Matroska player, it's the one MKV's were invented for.

I believe that's the one I have, Matroska, because the files say that they are that type.

Tell me if u need those programs for reformatting MKVs.

mkv- files work great for me after having installed the codec, try to use vlc media-player. I get both subs and audios.
