Hey! Happy Hina Matsuri, everybody! Oh Dear Lord, he's NOT gonna do THIS with EVERY flippin' holiday on the Japanese calendar, is he??

March 3rd is "Girls' Day" or "Doll Festival" (and used to be Festival of Peach Blossoms) in Japan.

UruseiYatsura references it: in the manga, it's the chapter when Ten first shows up, and in the anime, it's Ran's first appearence.

Kimono on White day? Why? Those that aren't familiar with Valentine's day and White day in Japan, here's a brief overview. On Valentine's day, girls are expected to give the boys they like chocolate (we'll not get into giri chocolate and the intricacies of the matter). We all know this, right? White day takes place one month later, on March 14th, and is basically the same thing but the other way around. Usually though, girls expect the guys to get them presents instead of chocolate.

I'd have thought everyone in here would watch enough anime (or read enough manga, in cases like mine) to know about White day.

I did, it's just that I know it as "Reverse-Valentine's Day" because the guys who wrote the english script for one of my video games are stupid.

Aye, that was one of the reasons I exiled myself during 2008 because I felt I had betrayed thy trust by pretending mine death, Lumaholics, and believe me that it will never happen again (I have better and less fatal jokes to tell)

I don't know if I should counter this statement because it is so darn funny but, then again, I am most of the time sober whenever I am not drinking Iced Tea with Lemonade or Tepache (or Sotol as Falling Star thinks because I am from Chihuahua)
