Do you remember chapter 5 of season 4 which a little girl give Ten a chocolate.
It may be a good idea to begin a new story about an Earth girl and her Oni fiance.

I really think that, like this way (with a skeleton of the tale that you want to write I mean) it could comes easy to make it and to follow the path of the single histories.
