Some of the smilies are using the same symbols like and . Both are like this:

Though if you type that, you'll get this one, so there's no way to write the sad smilie.

Same with and , you can only make .

Also, :& has 2 codes:

PS: I used [img] tags to make the smilies, that's why they're working in this particular message.
