I NEED HELP! UY torrents?
« on: September 28, 2010, 07:40:40 PM »
Hello fellow lumaholics!

Well i have to say that seeing Superchick24 start her UY collection (http://www.lum-chan.com/index.php?topic=2101.msg39348#msg39348)has made me want my own collection! Though at the moment i cant buy the DVDs BUT i can torrent the episodes and movies!

:??? One problem though...im not exactly sure HOW to. I've already downloaded utorrent so i can download torrents but when i tried to watch it on Windows Media player it wouldn't play it. plus i'm not even sure it has english subtitles which i REALLY need lol :P so if anyone can help me out i would appreciate it! I would love to have my fav episodes on DVD for now before i actually get the official DVDs in the future.

Also i dont know WHERE to find good torrents with englsih subs. So if anyone knows of any good websites that would b amazing!  ;D

You can't play it in Windows Media Player because it probably its a file tipe that WMP can't read. Or the files are damaged and can't be played at all...

Try instaling this http://cccp-project.net/download.php?type=cccp
It's the codec pack that I use it has his own video player.

For good torrents with english subs... http://www.bakabt.com/130479-urusei-yatsura-those-obnoxious-aliens-lre.html

If you can't see that link its probably because you need to register and login.

I wonder which one is true!?

what falling gave there is a stable version of combined community codec pack  while in my case I only provided links for unstable beta releases

since your videos may be mkv ogg or some other weird format, it would be best to burn your dvds as data instead of a DVD movie, because burning it as a movie would make only fit 4 episodes per disc, it would be a longer process with some pixelation but you would be able to watch them on your standard DVD player . Where as buring the DVD as data it would fit more than 8 episodes per disk, you can use the data DVD only on your computer or a DVD player that can plays that specific type of extension.
Or if you Have a Playstation 3 and your computer connected to a home network you could try streaming your videos with any type of format may it be mkv with subtitles and/or HD, from your computer to the playstation 3. here is some sort of guide I made too http://www.lum-chan.com/index.php?topic=2059.0
