After a few days of testing a new option has been made available to you. A good working chatroom. It works like IRC. Click here to join other Lum-a-holics!

Enjoy!

Today I have re-added an old script to show which topics are recent. On previous versions, it didn't show up correctly in Internet Explorer but I have fixed this now. It now works on all recent browsers as far as I know of. Scrolling has been enabled again and the fontsize has been lowered to blend in with the page as well.

Enjoy!

I have removed a lot of obsolete code and add-ons. They were no longer needed. One hidden testboard was removed as well. Databases have been optimized and reorganized to gain some speed. Unfortunate the DB-server is a bit slow form time to time. I'm working on this together with the guys from Strato AG.

I just finished some maintenance on the database of the forum/website. It was a bit sluggish. I hope the performance is just a bit better now.

Today I updated the forum-software to 1.1.10 . Some small but important bug-fixes and security issues have been fixed with this update. Enjoy!

Tonight, I have re-uploaded all tracks of The Complete Music Box and have added them to the Download-Manager. This way I can keep track of the number of downloads for each track. You need to be registered the TWoUYL to gain access to these tracks!

Another reason is the steady flow of messages about some tracks being incomplete or corrupted. This I why uploaded them all again to get rid of these odd problems.

Enjoy!

Today, I have updated the forum to SMF 1.1.9 and the whole portal to TP 1.0 Beta 4. Small changes have been made to the code under the skin and as far as I can see, everything is in correct working order. Enjoy!

As of today we are running the latest version of TinyPortal with version 1.0 Beta 3. As you can see it's still in beta fase but as far as I can see, the software is working ok. Some things have been changed.

And a new update for the forum software. We're now at SMF version 1.1.8.

I have split the 'What's New?' section, again. Links are updated to the several archives of 'What's New?'.

Today, I have tried to finish all the leftovers after moving the website to my new Web-hosting Provider. Edited a lot of posts after the conversion to UTF-8. Almost all odd characters have been replaced with the right ones (phew!). Internal linking has been fixed as well as the external linking. Other small fixes have been applied and removed some obsolete code hidden in several pages.
Finally finished updating all databases and linkage to them and optimized it all to gain some performance. It's not as much as I expected but it's worth trying.

The past days have been a hell to me regarding the website, but I managed to fix almost 99% of all found troubles. The last bits I will try to fix next week. First I need a rest for some days.

Thanks for all your patience while I was re-configuring the whole site. Thank you!

I have updated the complete database to UTF-8 including all text. This reduced the database with almost 190 Megs which makes the Database a lot faster. Search will be a lot faster too. Language files aren't updated yet. This will be done in the upcoming days.
Stay tuned!

I repaired all fan-fiction posts. I spent the last 5 hours to repair these posts with the correct content. The strangest part was the fact that all posts were available in the database but weren't shown in the post. Probably due to the previous 'Double-post' mod which became invalid with SMF 1.1.6 in combination with the maximal character count of 20000. I have changed this too. Double Posting is allowed again (need to recheck this in case of an error).

These problems didn't show up before the migration to the new database-server, but just after restoring the backups. How odd can it be?

Anywayz, I hope I fixed them all. If you or others find corrupted of just empty posts, please let me know. Just post the link to that page here and I'll fix this asap. I need you guys to help me out with this, so keep posting any errors/malfunctions and/or corrupted postings!

Lycos Web-hosting is stopping all web-hosting activities at 28 February 2009. I've already got a new account at Strato AG and the domain-transfer is in action now.
I managed to move ALL data to the new provider. As the domain-name lum-chan.com still resides on Lycos, I redirect any page from the Lycos version to the master-URL of my new hosting space. Cookies aren't working until the domain has been transferred, so you have to re-log on every new visit to the fora...

You can post messages ans such without being afraid to lose these again. The forum-software already makes new use of the new databases @ Strato AG \(^_^)/

The following things aren't working yet:
* Image galleries - FIXED
* Missing Avatars - FIXED
* Guestbook is temporary using old database... Sorry
* Donation Section - FIXED
* Site Search
* E-Mail

These will be fixed as soon as the domain transfer is complete.

Phew!
