Thoughts on UY Movie 5-The Final Chapter
« on: April 25, 2011, 07:51:44 AM »
At first I wondered why this movie was titled final chapter if its not the last one, but I guess it does sum the whole plot up very well.

What I liked about it was the animation, drama, and scene between Lum and Ataru when he drops her horns by accident and she sees it. The whole marrying concept is used again, but it turned out to still be a good movie. ^_^

I thought the movie overall was pretty well done since it looked nice, had a good soundtrack like always, and etc. Plus it was 1 of the few films that made me cry.

Indeed it is the final chapter, the thing it is that the adventures of Ataru, Lum and friends don't end here, the latest OVA (2008 I think) is placed before the 5th movie, around the episode 180 I guess, but I can't assure you this info. Since the movie finished with an inconclusive ending, think that this movie is just only another day for Ataru and Co. and not a final chapter at all. And, well answering to your question, I think this is the best movie I ever seen in my life, and I'm not joking, I agree with foxhead and cata because is the ONLY movie that made me cry. A masterpiece from the very start to the very end.

I think we can say that the movie came after because the new OVA is based roughly on the swim chapter of the manga (which preceding the final chapter that became Movie 5)

I didn't actually cry, but I was almost at that point. To hear you say it is the best movie ever makes me smile though lol It's my favorite out of all six movies.
