I wonder how long it would take to make a Urusei Yatsura 30 minute episode? Time constraints would have to be considered if they would add an episode length special.

Well I know that to make a 24 episode Anime... it would take from 6 months to 1 year... depending of what they would need... (CGI and stuff).

So they could put a Christmas or New Year special with it, but I think it would be less than the OVA, more like 15 minutes. I don't really think it is very likely.

PS What studio made the new OVA?

yes but if you remove the opening and ending theme of an anime episode you only get about 19 minutes :/

I think the opening has 1:30 minutes, and the ending has also 1:30, so we get 3 minutes.

24-3= 21

1 episode without songs = 21

having uploaded the entire series on veoh and a lot of it on youtube, I can tell you that an episode is about 25 minutes 40 seconds long.

subtract 3 is 22 minutes and 40 seconds.
