Topic: Ataru's Happiness

This has been bugging me for a while, trying to think of something.

Is there anything that Lum could say, do, or anything that would make Ataru REALLY happy?

Obviously... harem, girl-hunt, etc are out and also letting go of marriage for now.

It's really hard... and I could use some help please.

the only way that ataru can be really happy is when he's about to lose lum and gets her back, like that episode when lum was shrunked by that bottle and ataru and ten rushed to get the big bottle to return her to her original size or the first movie "only you"

but you can't really say that it was lum's doing that caused that happiness so that's actualy a answerless problem  :?

I think that Lum and Ataru had been always happy being together in their schooldays. Although Lum would be happier if both of them being were married, she is satisfied on what she has. As for Ataru, he desn't quite show it.

Happyness for Ataru and Lamù?

I think that he'd have to make her a great injustice and then, moved by his remorces, he'd have to rescue her in any way.

It have happened several times in the saga (for exemple on the episodes  "a breathtaking christmas" or "the magic bottle").

This is also a well improved way used by R.T. to manage her main characters: it have happened a similar thing also between Ranma and Akane (specially in the latest episodes of their saga) and also between Inuyasha and Kagome.

I think that this situation is the "trademark" of R.T.

yes but i think that she should change her style a little because most of the episodes that you see ataru's love for lum it's always the same plot, ataru acts like a jerk, lum cries, ataru regrets and goes back to her

But I think that we've to consider also this one: all the character of Rumiko Takahashi seem to be happy just when they've a strife !!!

Ataru vs Lamù.

Ranma vs Akane.

Inuyasha vs Kagome.

Is true: the story is rather the same.

yes but it's a shame that rumiko takahashi doesn't give a real ending to the story, i think that she could very well do a 10th season with ataru proposing to lum, the wedding preparations, then ataru would get cold-feet but then he would realize that he loves lum, and the final episode with the actual wedding. and maybe a few episodes about their after-married life but being the way she is we can never expect that from rumiko

RT adore to leave all her histories unsolved (with the exception of Maison Ikkoku).

So, don't expect any "happy end" on his tales.

I'm trying to write the "10th unofficial season" of UY (you know, I'm delirious  ) but (if my incoming daugher will me allow to write it) the final will be....... "strange".

Yes, I think that her only way out is to end a tale giving a lots of answers that carry on them also a lots of other questions.

yes i have read a little of your season, it's really good everyone says so, i haven't read all of it because i still have to see the OVA's to finish all the official seasons, movies and OVA's xD

It may be a good thing that she "doesn't finish" her stories, because that means a lot of fanfics and a lot of different endings.

Its  true  that  there  coud  be  alot  of  fanfigs  for  UY,  but  the  show  has  become  old  most  people  dont  even  know  UY,  and dont  care.  Its  a  series  that  is  dieng  into  upscurety.  I  think  that  RT  owes  UY  a  proper  ending  or  at  least  a  spind  of.  To  give  the  show  a  second  wind.  Because  to  be  honest  no  mater  how  many  fanfighs  i  read  no  mater  how  good  they  are  they  cant  fild  the  boid  left  by  UY  unfinis  ending.

We  can  only  hope  that  the  new  episode comig  out  for  UY  will  either  finish   the  series  properly  ,or  better  yet   bring  new  interest   for  it.  If  not  i  will  have  to  setle    for   some  cheap  spid  of  of  the  series   wen  i  am  a  old  man.  Because  i  bet  that  the  only  reason  the  haven  yet  don  so  is  because  RT  refuses  it.

It hard to read your write but i think R.T will just bring new events to UY not its end.
Maybe she likes an open end.
