Ranma 1/2 (season 2)
Genshiken (season 1, not Kujii Unbalance)
Urusei Yatsura (opening 2, dancing star)
Hokuto No Ken (opening 1)

I am basing the openings on music rather than artwork or the anime show itself.

I like many openings and endings but my list keeps changing as I watch more anime, so I can't give you a solid list
one that I currently I like right now is the ending from Bakemonogatari ( an anime that I recommended in another topic)

curiously that this song was composed by a group called Supercell, they have used vocaloid hatsune miku (singing synthesizer program) to perform their songs in nico nico douga , a video streaming service

Hmm... I have a good idea... Why don't we all make a list of our Top 5 or 10 anime music... It can be openings... endings or both together... and then we will chose one music from each list and make a Best anime music List. XD

I'll be making mine while you think about it... XD

I can't make that much since I love lots of Naruto and Naruto Shippuuden's opening and endings like Yura Yura To and Blue Bird, Parade, Hero's Comeback, and Bacchikoi and so much more!

my suggestion to the rules are

*1 song per franchise
*up to 20 songs  (so it would be 10 best openings and 10 best endings)
*say what anime it was featured on
*song name and/or performing artist
*explanation of the choice ( it doesn't have to be a long explanation, can be a short answer)  
*optional embed youtube videos or links
* include the date (very important because your list is most likely to change in time)

I know that some anime franchises can have many good theme songs that you could buy the soundtrack and enjoy every second of the CD.
but its best choosing 1 song per franchise, sot it will show us which one you really like out of the bunch (it would feel like choosing a favorite son) and give room for other anime theme songs that you like to make it in he list too

I think that this would be more organized and be easily followed

My nominee for this list: "Motteke! Sailor Fuku!" from LuckyStar (this is the full song and somebody did an extra-special version of the video [so good I wonder if it was an "inside job"]). Watch out for an advertisement a few seconds into the video (another reason I think it was an "inside job").

The advertisement thing I think occurs on some copyrighted videos. (ex a certain song is used and an ad is placed in the video because of it.)

They're ALL copyrighted videos (if they have content taken from commercially-published sources). XD  In this case, Kadokawa (the copyright holder & publisher) has begun using YouTube for promotional purposes (they have their own "channel" on YouTube now) so decided to use this video (again, it's VERY well done IMHO) to promote Lucky Star instead of having it removed for copyright infringement

I've decided to keep it down to ten openings and I've removed Azumanga Daioh.

Too bad: "Soramimi Keiki" and "Raspberry Heaven" are among my favorite theme songs. I've become a fan of Youko Ueno because of them, and I'm thinking about buying the CD-Single of those 2 songs (have to order from Japan, which just that adds to the adventure, deshou?).
