Topic: Urusei Yatsura Doujinshi?

Can doujinshi for Urusei Yatsura be created if you're not in Japan? I know that in Japan, it's somewhat approved of, but what if someone from the United States were to distribute a Urusei Yatsura doujinshi?

i've read doujinshi's written by american peeps that r really good @ drawing. i accedentily stubled on some hentai >_< sick stuff, but anyway, i definately qualifies even if the doujinshies r created here.

yeah, the bad part about doujinshi is that you can easily find yourself immersed in hentai...shudder

Well a doujinshi is a fan comic so they are not approved of by the original stuidios anyway so if an american or a mexican or a what not wants to make one.  Go right ahead.

Speaking of hentai, and I know this is slightly off topic, but there are about a MILLION of them based on UY with Lum as the main character. Some are even quite good, with a good story and everything... just, yanno, loaded with scenes of the horizontal mombo.

But I agree, with all of the doujin that are made they can't all possibly have the approval of the IP's owner, so I would encourage you to make your own. The more Lum the better!
