and I remember a figurine of Lum in the anime Gintama.
I'm still looking for pics of them though.

think I saw a cameo in Maris the chojo, where there was a beach, and it showed a pair of legs with eerily sim boots with tiger stripes on them.... anybody else catch that?

Seen it before, and you are right! Several UruseiYatsura members are in that sequence.

Not quite a cameo, but starting a new thread for one pic seems wasteful to me.

This weekend is the weekend of Summer COMIKET in Tokyo, the twice-yearly gigantic Comics Market. Along with all the independent comics and music and anime for-sale inside the halls, there are the Comiket Cosplayers posing outside the venue.

Imagine my surprise when I spotted these two among the cosplayers (pic stolen borrowed from SankakuComplex):
