Yes I understand reading simplefied (Rōmaji) japanese (some words) but not much of hiragana, katakana and kanji.

Katakana is really easy once you get the way they read english words...

...hiragana is very easy to read phonetically, but you have to translate the result in english, and that's the hard part...

...kanji are the real pain in the ass...I know only about 100 of them, and it would place me in kindergarten or 1st elementary school... =(

Well Kroptik let me say something to you... In Madeira its better you start learning German because its something that can get you a job faster than someone who doesn't...

Speak >> English, French, Spanish, German and Italian (the last 2 just the basics)
Understand >> All from above... and a little of Portuguese
