More news: VIZ Media has opened a new website, http://www.therumicworld.com, which will host the English-language translation of Kyōkai no Rinne (to be known as Rin-ne in its English variation).

Here's the link to the Anime News Network story: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-04-15/rumiko-takahashi-rinne-to-run-in-sync-in-u.s-japan

First episode: Wednesday April 22! Can't wait!

1st Episode? You mean 1st Chapter?

For a moment there I was happy... thinking there was going to be a new anime from RT.
"It is said that only a fool learns from his own mistakes, a wise man from the mistakes of others."-"A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing."
I wonder which one is true!?

You're right, you're right (and I'm leaving the mistake in place so these posts make sense). First CHAPTER, folks.

(Who publishes her work for Europe? They may be doing something similar...)

People see piracy as a bad thing and I understand why but if it wasn't for piracy, we would miss so many good things because we wouldn't get a chance to even look at it.

Anyways, if the manga is good I really hope they made it into Anime.

Arrgh, the lassie is right, mates,if it were not for piracy,we would not enjoy many good animes (that probably will not come to our country due to violence and content)

Now regarding this new manga,I know a japanese dude from a Hokuto No Ken forum that collects mangas from Comic Bunch and Shonen Sunday every week and I am sure that,if I ask him nicely,he would provide us with RAW scans of Kyōkai no Rinne

Another option is to wait for the release of the first manga volume,I know a french/english site that deals with downloading recent mangas (again,we would get RAW scans)

More anime of RT is always welcome, genuinely

You know... people that download iligal stuff from the internet aren't pirates any more... they are now know as... thiefs.

You see with the recent escalation of pirate attacks in the Horn Of Africa reagion... the term pirate went back to the old defenition...
Pirate - One who robs at sea or plunders the land from the sea without commission from a sovereign nation.
"It is said that only a fool learns from his own mistakes, a wise man from the mistakes of others."-"A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing."

Shiver me timbers, mates, again we be returning to the topic of piracy, arrgh

Well, what we can do is the following:

A ) Start a scanlation group for this manga (not a good option considering that we are trying to get a decent translation for some UY goodies)

B ) Only provide some scans from this manga in company of a little synopsis of the chapter displayed

C ) We can wait for the Viz translation and then we can discuss the chapters

All of these options in an attempt to be called pirates and not thiefs, mates, arrgh

Umm ... there's actually no "wait" -- the "TheRumicWorld" website will be posting each chapter of the English-language translated manga on the same day that that issue of ShonenSunday (with that same chapter) ships to booksellers worldwide.

(in fact, the website may have its new chapters up BEFORE ShonenSunday hits bookstands!)

Well, tomorrow is the big day. Just checked in at Furinkan.com and they have a link to a free desktop background for Kyōkai no Rinne made available by ShonenSunday's website. Here's the link to the background: http://www.websunday.net/download/wallpaper/0905a_l.html

Hmm... A girl with powers to see spirits... and a guy (probably a priest of some shrine or a ghost) that will help her fight demons???

I know I see alot of anime and I may be confusing/merging scenes... but it seems I saw this before... at least if its like I said above... XD
