Their culture is much more rich than ours.
And it's older.
But more tradicional.
And more fascinating than ours, in my opinion.

It looks more fascinating because it's not ours.
If you lived you'd probably think the american/european culture would be fascinating...

But I do agree it's a fascinating culture. :P

Our culture (portuguese culture) is almost the same as the american, as the rest of Europe. The japanese culture is full of myths, stories, legends,... The martial arts came from asian cultures, the technology came from Asia, our toys and other kind of stuff says "made in China", "made in Thailand" and "made in Japan", etc. The traditional parties and vests are much more exciting than ours. It's only my point of view.

We can't see the portuguese traditions in the city's but but if we go to a small town we can see many traditions, party's and fairs. And I'm telling for experience. In my town in one month and half there was 5 fair party's and 1 Procession of the local Church.

In the small towns it is easier to maintain the traditions.

Normally that is the case in most countries, however there have been special cases where some traditions dont seem so nice as they should, take for instance that in areas of southern Mexico as well as other places during spring vacations there are people that prefer to do the Passion of Christ (Via Crucis) the most real possible,so they get nailed by real into a wood cross,it is a tradition full of blood

The americans have culture. For instance, the native americans.

Even the native americans have their culture mixed by now, nobody escapes dat

Also in Japan because of Valentine's Day, after passed a month the boys repay to the girls also with chocolats. That day is called "White Day".

Fascinating, jataru, that would seem great if that applied in most countries

I'm far too shy to offer chocolate to the boy that stole my heart.
