I originally fell in love with Shampoo cuz i saw ranma 1/2 before even finding UY, It was actually a complete accident that i began watching UY

Anyway after watching the first eppisode of UY i said that this story is basically Ranma 1/2, where Ranma fell in love with Shampoo

I would totally agree that they are twins or maybe the same person

Lum might actually be Shampoo, just changed cuz of ranma's rejection

reasoning
1. grew horns because of anger from rejection(thus becoming an Oni)
2. change hair and clothes so she wont be reconized
3. psychologically changed cuz of rejection

Well but, you know Ranma appered after UY Lum so thats impossible...
I've been seeing Ranma's season 1 again (nothing else to do at work LoL) and I noticed the facial exprecions on Akane and later on Shampoo to be the same as Lum. Well if you look carefuly even Akane with the long hair looks like Lum only whit a different colour. Ryoga and Ranma act the same as Ataru and Mendo for Lum (ex. Ranma dosent admit that he loves Akane but he wont let others near her) and many more things...

Btw,  Urusei Yatsura the animated series  had produced 195 TV episodes, 6 movies, 9 original animated videos Airing from 1981 to 1986

Btw, again is it just me or Rumico doesn't know how to make a proper ending for her criations??? Please that Ranma ending sucked LoL
Probably its because I dont like when good things end, but, that ending really sucked.
Have to see the manga now to see if it has a different ending... :&

The manga of Ranma does have a different end, but there is also a ton of stories that were not animated, I think they should have done a movie on the last book, much better ending.

Man those producers or something sure know how to ruin a good anime series... I couldn't sleep because I was constantly thinking about the damn ending.

Btw, the fact that the characters (Ranma, Akane, etc...) keept calling each other "hentai" (pervert) in an anime that the main charater and others appears naked is just to ironic and that makes it funny lol

Will there be anymore Ranma ½ OAVs?

It certainly would make sense that there would at least be one more, but there chances are about one in a million. Maison Ikkoku and Urusei Yatsura both had their final chapters animated and I would hope that Ranma ½ will eventally see it's conclusion animated as well. As the years pass though this becomes less and less likely. There has been no new Ranma ½ animation from Japan since 1996, and Rumiko Takahashi is no longer involved with Kitty Animation after they went out of business that same year. She has since moved on to work with Sunrise. So the short answer is "no".

Why does the TV series end that way?

The final episode of the televison series was not meant to be the end of the Ranma ½ story. Immediately after the television series ended OAVs were released focusing on other stories and specials. If the real ending of Ranma ½ is animated it will be as an OAV or film. But as stated in the previous question, it is unlikely the series conclusion will ever be animated for various reasons.

I guess i shall admit we also talk how ranma anime ending really sucked,4 example ranma final anime episode barely appeared in voume 22 of da manga,da thing is ranma has 38 volumes and da ovas only took some chapters

I remember that several fans who saw some saint seiya hades fan trailer claimed 2 toei to bring such series,maybe we can do da same for ranma

in my opinion,only urusei yatsura and maison ikkoku got worthy endings (although their final episodes were truly movies)

But, after 10 years, will anyone be interrested in finishing it, taking on such a project must have alot of problems???
