I think so... but that isn't the case here... Mendo is egocentric... so for him there's no one better than him... and besides... Ataru (like we see in the Kurama episode... the one he kisses her to wake up) can't keep a serious and handsome face... XD

Assuming the person has to be both very funny AND very annoying as a mix, Megane won for me easily.

If it were strictly most annoying, I'd vote Cherry.  Hmm...on second thought, Cherry is just an annoyance.  Ryoko actually makes me angry.
If it were strictly most funny...tough.  I'd probably go with Mendou, since he's such a great parody of the pretty/gentle/noble-man  character.  Lots of other good choices, though.

Ataru would probably be my next choice for both, he's slightly more funny than Megane but also not nearly as annoying.

Honestly, I don't see how someone can be both annoying and funny. Being funny almost automatically makes you less annoying.

So I went with the most annoying character, who is Megane. Although it was a close toss-up with Rei.

One of my classmates is annoying and funny at the same time. His jokes are funny BUT he never calms down and shut up. Annoying...

In my opinion, being funny and annoying at the same time is like being boring and interesting at the same time. The two cancel each other out. More of an "overall" type of thing, I guess.

I understand sidzero's point. If something is annoying, meaning it bothers you, how can you find it funny?

I'm guessing in Cata's case, her friends starts as funny from the jokes but then gets annoying for never being quiet. And that's not both at the same time.

A character can have its funny and its annoying moments, and I guess whoever you think that person is is the one you should vote for.

Anyways, overall... I think the point of this thread was funny OR annoying.

That, or the person's annoyance in the show makes him funny OH! OH! I just found the Funny and Annoying at the same time thing!!!

More like an unequal balance. A negative seven and a positive three still leave you with a negative four. So perhaps the friend isn't funny enough to make up for all the annoying. Or vice versa.
