The other names of the Stormtroopen are:

- Perma = Kousuke (this is the one we can find on the manga too);
- Kakugari = Hiroyuki;
- Chibi = Akira

I wathed this OVA yesterday and I was well impressed. The Animation is completely different but it's something that's easy to get used to. I think it has every bit of magic that UY had (and still has) and most characters appeared. I think I would have liked to see Kurama there but at least Kitsune didn't appear. xD

I think the seiyuu picked for Ran was awesome. Not the same Ran but definetely not a bad one. =)

I thought Shinobu's voice was different but maybe that's just me. Ryuu had tons of lines and since I'm watching One Piece, I was constantly thinking of Luffy everytime she said (yelled) something. xD

The subs I watched were a fansub obviously because it was full of mistakes. For example: Ryuu was yelling "I'm not a man!!!" and the subs were "I am a woman!!!". Not a big mistake but it still killed it for me since there were tons of mistakes.

The only big flaw on the story was this: what was the point for the teacher to make up an obstacle course? Was to injure students so he would get his revenge for being hit so many times? I felt like I had missed 5 or 10 minutes of Anime when I began watching it.

Finally, I hated the censoring of Lum and Ataru's kiss.

Subs full of mistakes are better than no subs at all when you are not fluent in Japanese.  I hope that one day an experienced fan subber or a professional subber will sub this OVA. I know I haven't watched the TV series in a while but I could have sworn Ryuu said "I am a woman" or "I'm a woman" when her and her dad get into arguments.

In the actual series, she says "ORE WA ONNA DA", meaning "I AM A WOMAN!". In the OVA, she says "ORE WA OTOKO JANAI!!!", meaning "I AM NOT A MAN!!!".

If she says "I am a woman" in the series don't you think it would be weird changing it to "I am not a man" for this OVA?

I worked together with the German Fansub Group "Freebooter-Anime", they released the german fansub on 30th August 2010 and they corrected many mistakes. They said Urusei Yatsura is hard project ^^.
