From my observations, Lum has had more panty shots than any other character in the entire series. She probably doesn't care if people catch glimpses of her panties since she's so used to wearing her tiger-striped bikini.

I highly doubt that she has only one bikini. Perhaps when she said that it was her only outfit, she meant that it was the only one she had handy.

I agree. I think she meant she brought only one "top" with her (on her first visit to Earth). But then, the tag contest was supposed to last for ten days, so... ???

I agree with both of you. The contest was ten days long, but it wasn't night and day, so Lum when the round finished she goes to her UFO and there she can change his outfit. And when she said that it was only her outfit I believe that she meant to say that she had not more outfits with her in that right moment. But in the Manga version, Ataru keep her bikini before the tenth day and Lum returned to her UFO and when she goes to Ataru's place she comes without a new outfit. And she continues the competition without a new outfit.

Maybe the tiger-striped bikini is better in some way from normal earth clothes because it can  last clean longer?...well there has to be something special about them ???.
But there was one time when Ton-chan stole Lum's bikini set and she mentioned that it was her only good clothes although she had a handful of summer clothes.

Lum tends to be very attached to things and people she likes,the main example is her "darling"

I think there was one occasion in which Lum actually called Ataru by his name. It was in the episode "Pitter Patter Summer Date". It's a very good episode. I highly recommend it to Lumaholics everywhere.

In the Spanish Version of Episode 18 (the first appearance of Ran), Lum called Ataru by his name more than once.

As cata mentioned,there are bunchs of translations that dont use Lum calling Ataru as "darling",it is kinda silly 2 not use it since it is one of Lum's most used dialogue that we know

If I were Ataru, I actually wouldn't mind being called "Darling" by Lum. She says it in a such a cute way (when she's in a good mood), and she's just trying to show her affection for him.

Lum affection towards her "darling" is perhaps one of the best in the anime history,Fumi Hirano and Rumiko Takahashi made a great job on Lady Lum

Another reason she calls him like that is cuz they are married (not officially,though) and because of UY popularity,that form of saying "darling" has become a hit in some romance animes,Lum is not a princess,she is our Queen

Despite the fact that Lum is a member of the royal family of her home planet, she never struck me as the type of person who would come from a royal family. Her personality is completely different from Shutaro's or Ryoko's. She doesn't strike me as a spoiled little rich girl at all (we actually see her father spanking her in a flashback in one episode for using a gun). She received the same level of education as her friends, and she puts other people's feelings before her own. I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the fact that she grew up on her mother's side of the family.
