Maybe it's just me, but when Lum-san does that impression, I don't picture Ran-chan. I keep thinking why in the world is Lum-san pointing to her eyes. Now, I know she's actually "dragging" her eyes downwards and, technically, Ran-chan's eyes do look like that, but if Lum-san herself did that impression in front of me, I wouldn't have a clue she was looking for Ran-chan. ???

I loved it when Megane went nuts, grabbed the film roll, started jumping around, and screamed crazily "Lum is our youth!"...or something to that effect.

I think you're referring to the end of "Lum's Film of Youth" when Ataru, Shinobu, and Mendo started to chase after the stormtroopers after they saw that all their footage had been removed from the final product. If I remember correctly, Lum was clueless as to what was going on. :D)

I remember that episode as I have seen it a little while ago. It's one of funniest in my list. I would do the same thing that Ataru, Mendou and Shinobu did if something like that would hapen to me like that. It's one of my favourites episodes. Sorry for the bad english.

Yup...Megane was all "I had to cut out one or two scenes..." and it turns out the film was a montage dedicated to Lum-san... He just used Mendo to fund the film and used the others as pawns to get Lum-san's reactions on film... Too bad Moroboshi couldn't convince Lum-san to do the nude scene...

At least Megane's film was artistic (and more importantly, dedicated to Lum-san). Moroboshi's "Lum the Rebel" film was also a bait-and-switch, but the resulting film was flat-out weird, with them riding bicycles up a mountain and Moroboshi skipping along the beach... ???

The scene where they were riding bikes would have complete if "Having a Wonderful Time" by Tiny Tim was playing during that scene. :D)

I don't think Megane would ever consider killing Moroboshi, because if he did, Lum-san would be sad. Megane would rather suffer and hope that one day Lum-san would return his love. That's why in the "Catch the Heart" OVA, he made that big crazy speech and had a heart failure after Lum-san gave him a love letter and requested that he kiss her--his dream became reality--for a brief moment...

Although killing Moroboshi is out of the question, there's nothing that prevents Megane from punishing and torturing Moroboshi (and he often does)...
