Just wondering if there was a guide out there that tells you where each movie takes place in the tv series. Like for example where does movie 1 take place in the overall series? Anyone able to get me a list?

I don't recognise very well by the name isn't when Mendo, Ten and Ataru recive love letters from bottles, ten was in the sands of the beach, Mendo was in a hot-spring and Ataru's in a can machine. They as long as the girls were tricked into an old hotel wich the hotel staff wanted to eat them.

I think it was that lum,ataru,mendo & shinobu travel to an island where they found ryunosuke and her/his dad,eventually they found a couple of ghosts,a father and his daughter Nagisa,the odd thing is that mister fujinami knew nagisa's dad since young and they engaged ryu with nagisa,so now if nagisa wants 2 go 2 heaven,she must receive a kiss from ryu,believe me,DarkDevil,this story has a twisted ending,twisted indeed

Mamoru Oshii's works are never too easy to catch! ^^

I can give you my personal interpretations:

1 - The whole story was a single dream of Ataru, Mujaki's plots included!
In the ending you can see him smiling and arguing with his pet about how hard was his job about those guys' dreams!
He had not to win or lose, it was only a successfully created dream, and a very difficult one! ^^

2 - Mujaki in the end understands how deep is the love binding Ataru to Lum, even if he hardly admits it, and choose to free them all from the endless dream knowing that Lum has already someone that loves her so much! ^^

You can choose the one you like the most or try to find another one!
