in games moving objects a seperate from the background, similar to anime, have you ever noticed that in some anime you can tell the difference between something moving, based upon colour and texture. a sprites is such moving object that is programmed with certain movements (example: lifting an arm or walking, punching etc.) these can be put on a layer infront of the background, also known as a foreground. Any background can be used (still picture or in alot of fighting games, moving picture, usually with a crowd in the background), but there is no connection between a spirite and the background, other than visual

just for everyones information i did not google this (google would have had it in alot more technical terms) i am attend college in the computer engineering program and this was some simple programming lingo, lol maybe if i getting into game design and programming i'll make a bunch of UY games for the forum

It is. There's no english version.
I tried playing it (on an emulator) but I can't understand a thing.
Still if anyone wants it let me know and I'll post the link for the emulator and the rom.
