Where can I find a screensaver of Lum dancing?

I don't know if this will work. AFAIK you should have a active desktop enabled.

I'll try to find this "Have Lum dancing on your desktop". It might be on one of my cd's in my office

Lum-chan:
At least I have found the text which came by the image:

--- Quote ---You must first retrieve the Lum pic. Courtesy of this link, which also gives us the instructions.

http://www.efn.org/~hallert/lumpage.shtml

1. You must have either the Memphis release of Windows (currently in Beta,
but slated for release in Q2 as "Windows 98") or a version of Internet
Explorer 4.0 which supports the "Active
Desktop".

2. Either download the above picture of Lum
(which should be dancing unless you have an older browser) by right clicking
on it and then selecting either "Save Link As...", "Save Image As..." or
whatever comes closest in your browser of choice OR you can simply write
down the URL for the picture or copy it by (Netscape) right clicking on
it and selecting "Copy Link Location".  I recommend saving it to your
hard drive for many reasons, the least of which is not speed.

3. Activate the Active Desktop (if you have not done so already) by right-clicking
on the desktop and clicking on "Active Desktop" and putting a checkmark
next to "View as a web page".  If there is a check mark there already,
leave it alone!

4. Right click on the Desktop again and select "Properties".  This
will bring up a window entitled "Display Properties".

5. Click on the tab entitled "Web".

6. Click on the button entitled "New...".

7. If you get a box asking if you want to visit the "Active Desktop Gallery",
click "No".  If it was there, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

8. Type in either the path to the file on your harddrive (if you don't
know what this is, just use the "Browse..." button to find wherever you
saved the file on your hard drive) or press Shift-Insert to paste in the
URL of the dancing Lum picture.  Again,
I recomend saving it to your hard drive and doing it that way.

9. Press the enter key to let the computer know you haven't just been smoking
crack and pressing random keys.

10. Press the "Ok" button to leave the "Display Properties".

11. If Lum isn't already dancing on your desktop
by now, click somewhere on the desktop and press the F5 key on your keyboard.
This will force Windows to refresh the desktop.

12. Shout hoarsely at the computer, "Lum!
You have come to me!" and embrace your monitor in ill-disguised (and clearly misguided, if you believe the bloody counselors) affection and joy.

If Lum ever stops dancing because she has
grown tired or thinks you are not watching her anymore, re-affirm your
commitment as a Lumaholic by clicking on your desktop with the left mouse
button and pressing the F5 key.  Remember this!

I'll try to find the image asap and post it here too

Lum-chan:
And yes, here's the image which was used with the text posted above

Edit:
I have tested the image and it's working with Windows XP Professional UK OEM. Probably it will work with other Windows versions as well as long as the Active Desktop is enabled.

When I try to download the .gif by clicking on it a message is returned: "An error has occured - you are not allowed to download or view attachments on this board" - I thought it was a glitch when I first tried in Dec, but since it is still there, is there anything you can do to give me access or let me know how to get the file? Other files I can download with no problem...
Thanks!

Ryuunosuke:
Erm,that page has lum dancing only and no background? It would add a bit of a zip but I guess everyone doesn't have the same taste of backgrounds so nvm....
Posted on: March 02, 2007, 04:07:59 PManyway, the pic you found of lum dancing is good, but don't you think it should've been a little bit bigger?
