My Lum Vector traces in photoshop.
« on: September 24, 2011, 06:18:06 AM »
hello everybody, long time without visiting the forum, they even update the interface, i like this new forum the more.

well, let's get to the point.

here you have all the vector traces i've done of lum using the photoshop CS3, posted on deviantart.com
here is my DA user, just in case.
http://akakit.deviantart.com/

i know i'm not a professional, but i think my vectors are very nicely done, still need to add shading, but they're good.

here you go

original sizes are in the deviantart page, tell me please what do you think of them and if you have a DA account don't forget to see my gallery and faving these vectors if you liked them.

thanx for your attention.

Those are really nice. I had grabbed some of them from DeviantArt a while back I guess they were yours.
Of these the ones that look the best from the top down is 3, 6 then 2. Those are really well done, the others are good as well.

It would be off-topic but I think we can make an exception. Or if you prefer, to create a topic for your work, that way anything you post won't be offtopic.

i think i'll post them here, since the character was another of rumiko's creation  and she is very similar to lum.
the other stuff areabout other animes and maybe don't post them.

Could make some good 16:9 backgrounds with those skills.

thanx.

vector trace is tracing a picture using any graphic design program as photoshop

with this example you will understand easily

original:

vector trace:

they look easy to do, but they're not, they take a lot of time.

eh eh, I think it has been a little joke created by the drawer.

You can compare with this one:

The image of Lamù shocked comes from the episode where Ryunosuke fights against her father in the last season, when Ryoko organize a great event where all the UY characters bets on the winner.

When seems that Ruy has won Mr Fujinami rise again and slam her on the ground.

Everyone is in shock, as you can see Lamù too  ;D

You're right  ;)

We must admit: the great innovation of R.T. was to introduce (and distort) the concept of "fan service" without ever being vulgar !!

In fact, in UY there was never need to peek under the skirts of the girls to see the color of their panties: either we just had to wait for Ataru (who lifted them any time he liked) or were already wearing skimpy clothes.

The result was that, from that moment, the female main characters of ANY anime had not to be "only" beautiful: they had to be sexy!

I dunno. UY is something I would show my kids, even with Lum prancing around in a bikini outfit.

You're good at antatomy. I'm guessing from the last two drawings that you aren't interested in drawing male characters haha! I liked the newer ones before the blue swimsuit Lum as the weren't that fanservicecy and it was tastefully done. Do you have deviantart account and have you done any OCs?

Are these in the UY fan art gallery?

I've been looking at learning to draw using a PC but I can't find any classes and I don't have the right software or a graphics tablet.

Edit: I think I found your DA http://akakit.deviantart.com/
