Anime series from 2000 is a refreshing change
« on: March 31, 2010, 05:54:54 AM »
NieA_7 is a refreshing and fun anime series from the year 2000. The main character Mayuko is an introverted, financially struggling cram school student with a problem-Niea, her freeloading alien roommate who lives/sleeps in the closet. Having to tolerate Niea's quests in building semi functioning UFOs in the livingroom from junk she finds in trash heaps. And Niea's constant whining about food, Mayuko remains sane as she studies and holds two jobs. As well as helping out at the bath house where they live inlieu of rent.

NieA_7 was (according to the studio and producer) meant as a lame comedy using tired jokes and old cultural references. I found the series charming and cute as it's more of a slice of true life on a humorous side. Plus the characters dressed in normal attire over the ultra mini skirts as seen in other animes which becomes old over time.

I give this series an A+ and highly recommend it.

Some episodes are missing... but search Veoh maybe you'll get lucky.

I wonder which one is true!?

Veoh is bankrupt??? LoL

I guess with all the competitors... and the crapy move to make videos only viewable by downloading a special program... to be able to see them... kinda killed the Veoh buzz...

What upsets me about Veoh is the fact that sometimes it doesn'l load the full video (like it stops and never loads again). >.<
