Thanks to a Giovanni Dinamitardo's story, I started to think about Oyuki and I don't remember seeing her laughing. I think I saw her giggle but not for very long. So, I'm just wandering if she ever laughed in the series.

The only time I can remember her expressing any kind of positive emotion at any point was during her introduction, after Ataru was trying to mollest her, and B-Boy interrupted. It was when she said "Pity, he was just getting started". Actually, other than the time when she was getting angry at the general of the Neptunian Ice Mice, I think that was the only time she ever expressed any kind of emotion.

That's one of the reasons I like Oyuki so much, complete stoicism.


But you know, I could be wrong. I may have missed her expressing herself other times, and just not remember it.

Well, I think that Oyuky is a character not totally developped by R.T., that's why I've decided to go in deep in her personality in my fanfictions: I've imaginated her as a person "with_the_head_on_the_sho ulders" but also so jealous and able to appreciate the noble sentiments (that's why she's felt in love with Mendo).

Soon (if Mary Victory, my incoming daugher, will allow me !!!) I'll write a tale with her involved in ..... ehm ..... "something" versus Ryoko, with the same intention: going in deep with a character that her poesy has not been written yet.

Since you're discussing Oyuki in fanfics I want people's thoughts on how she'd react/interact to a dimension travelling demi-god/street punk/anti-authoritarian whose relentlessly stalking his wife's killer across space-time... He's not emo or anything he won't hesitate to cut loose, even jokes about himself as being 'time-travel's bastard' but if someone ries to push him around, he'll pay'em back in spades

It doesn't have to be romantic I just wonder if she'll open up to/aknowledge someone like that

She would also check his credit rating.





(in other words: Oyuki is about BUSINESS, so your protagonist would have to have some qualities which would appeal to her business sense. Is there some advantage for her -- monetary gain or business/political clout -- through his comings and goings? And, how is he going to comport himself: is he cool and collected or is he a loose cannon [both of which can be used to Oyuki's advantage, as she sees fit to play them]?

Well I was debating on whether to have her act the way she did in her intro (that could've been due to lack of development or she really was just playing with Ataru)

He'll flip people for her in a heartbeat, as long as the people she'd want info one don't hold any value, otherwise he'll need something in return

As for his personality he's a street punk he swears and loves to fight; but aside from the archetype he's not a sexist or a (total) idiot, admits to his flaws and has a 'thing' for Garlic Salt (a thought occured about him and lum having a cooking war...)

True, but I like to keep people as close to canon as possible and though I think they;d get along because he doesn't sound too different from Benten I still wonder how 'differently' she'd reat him because he's a man
