I feel the same way. "the Rumic World" (furinkan.com) has those ads that appear IN posts, and that's very very very VERY annoying.

"The Formula Vee interchange" (another bulletin board I'm on) has sponsors from within the Vee community which are banners at the top of the page. Not as bad, but ... there's another bbs nearby which is connected to a commercial enterprise (e-formula-car-news, affiliated with the now-defunct Formula Car magazine) which would LOVE to OWN us for PERSONAL PROFITEERING. The whole "Formula Car" bunch got into it to find a way to Make Money; not to serve the Formula Car Racing community but to LEECH from it. Despicable.

So saying, I'm very sensitive to the encroachment of commercial interests on something so pure as Our Love of UruseiYatsura.

It looks like a very profitable option... even if may not be legal... XD
