Original is always the best when it comes to Anime. Except portuguese dubbing classics such as Dragon Ball saga and Sailor Moon.

Like I said, I don't care about the voices, I just wanted to know if there was anything in the Japanese version that's not in the English version.

The puns... the jokes... and some other stuff that gets lost in translation... XD

the differences between languages changes the jokes when dubbing. for example when there's a joke about kanji's you don't understand when it's dubbed.

i bought the 3rd season of ranma but i later found out it was dubbed in spanish (since i'm portuguese i can understand what they say) and it was very different the name's of the attack's, the name's of the characters, a lot was changed

I've seen the entire series in English once and it never confused me so puns aren't that important to me.

I've already seen the first 6 episodes again, while occasionally checking the japanese alternate to see if there are any differences. Nothing so far.

1-
I wanted to know if they cut anything for the dubbed version.

Is there any other reason to watch japanese + eng subs?

2-
Aside from Voice actors, does the japanese version have anything that was cut from the english?

3-

1- I don't know... because I never saw the dubbed one...

2- I don't know for the reason above...

3- That's easy for you... english is your native language... and watching Inuyasha dubbed for the 1st time without ever seeing the series in japanese... you probably got used to it... (like me and Dragonball portuguese dubbing) XD

Now obviously you won't see any differences...
Maybe they put a very good team dubbing the series to english... still there are things... that even the best dubbing can't take from the original.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that when we grow used to something... its hard to change later on...

The main issue I'm asking about is whether or not they cut anything when they aired it on TV here.

InuYasha is a fairly violent and mature show, so I would have expected some cuts, but it doesn't seem that they changed anything based on what I've seen in the japanese version.

I remember that Bleach cut something in the first episode, I think it was a punch or something. From that point I could expect they left everything uncut, as they probably realized how impossible it would be for them to censor that anime.

Ah... that... Yes. Inuyasha had a few cuts/edits and when I say few... I really mean lots... XD
And by the looks of it even when they where editing things out they where confused...

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/edit-list/2002-11-07/inuyasha-ep-2-and-3

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/edit-list/2003-04-22/inuyasha-ep-10

And I stoped there because I was getting confused... they edited normal everyday stuff in one Epi. and in the next they don't edit the gory stuff... XD

Okay... none of these "cuts" were actually "cut" from the english versions I'm seeing.

I specifically remember the Un-Mother parts being there when that site says they were cut.

And I remember seeing them when they first aired.

I don't know... but those cuts are from the series that aired in Adult Swim... and if you read the part from the Un-mother... they cut stuff and leave other more explicit scenes on... but like I said... this list of cuts are from the editing team of the Adult Swim channel...

No... its not on my watching list...

I'm not watching it because I haven't finished seeing Inuyasha... so I guess there's no point in my watching that yet...

That's why my plan-to-watch isn't full of 1000 Animes. xD
