My classmates think I'm childish and when we're discussing my childishness, they often bring it up. I usually just give them my middle finger. (As a Mod, I must say that KIDS DON'T IMITATE MY BEHAVIOUR!)

I don't know but the reason I think anime is considered childish... at least here... is probably because all anime series where dubbed and most of them air on kids channels... So when I go and show them an anime like "Imouto de Ikou!", people go, "WTF? that's childish..." and I say... "you think so? because that doesn't seem like a kid show to me" XD

I don't think Pokemon is the problem since, every kid has the right to watch Anime for kids. xD

Now, the thing is if movies (non-anime or 3D) can be made for kids, why can't cartoons and Anime? It's pure stupidity.

And yeah, UruseiNeo is right, it is a stereotype just like all Anime Otakus are "nerdy" looking.

About Imouto de Ikou! (here's my reaction when I searched for images: O_O) well that's a pretty good example of why we shouldn't judge ANYTHING or ANYONE on appearances. Oo

recently i started watching higurashi and when i showed them an episode they that i was crazy for watching that xD
although i can understand why they said that xD it's a really scary anime
