Topic: Moroboshi is absolutely the greatest!!

Well, the anime is full of great characters and it's a hard task to select only one of them... the girls are all extremely beautiful and each one of them has something you will never forget (and obviously Lum rules!!!), the guys themselves are quite interesting charas but Ataru is something completely different... :&
He's not strong, brave or smart unless he's chasing girls...
He's selfish, stupid, hungry, unlucky... 
He escapes from Lum well knowing that he cannot lose her and want to "collect" every babe he can pursuing his master plan about his future harem, but when she is in trouble he is ready to fight entire armies trying to save her... 
He is considered a menace to every girl, but the only time he was about to sleep with Lum he acted incredibly embarassed! :@
He is unable to show his feelings (and often he doesn't want to...) to the woman he really loves, going on with the babe chase, probably well knowing that he'll achieve no results forever... :&

Well, he is my favorite character because acts the way I ever wanted to be and will never be!!!   }:|

Well, Atary-san isn't my favorite but the most stupid actions of him are just so adorable. Kinda looks like he tries, tries and tries....
However, the expressions of his face/body are so hilarious I can't stop laughing Without him the series wouldn't be complete!

Ataru is great, his personality is anwesome and i just love his laughing... he is really cool...it's a shame that he doesn't tell lum how he feels about her...

He never told her because he pretended Lum to understand it in other ways... 
In 5th movie he refused to say that, endangering the whole earth and one of his deepest thought was "Why do you need I say "I love you" to understand?"

Ataru is awesome cuz he seems like a bumbling oaf...Just like me.  In most cases I can almost convince myself that i'm the female version of him.

Actually, there are female versions of Moroboshi in some american tv shows...ever seen sex in the city?  one of the main characters, Samantha Jones, TOTALLY LIKE ATARU...the only difference is instead of a slap on the face from men, she ends up sleeping with them.

Ataru means "to get hit" and Moroboshi means "falling star." The chances of a star hitting someone are pretty rare. His name is a metaphor for his cosmically miserable luck.

Its strange that the japanese culture and Indian (north America) culture use almost the same name giving system
