Topic: My Original Character - Hiten

This is my Original Character, Hiten, who I finally found someone to draw for me

My friend gets credit for drawing the body, I drew the head. I have two colored versions:


Pencil Crayon Colored Hiten


Computer Colored Hiten

Hiten is based a little bit off Urusei Yatsura. He is an Oni, as you can see from the horns, but I made his horns white. I gave him tiger striped armor and he can fly + breath fire like Ten.

Outside of Urusei Yatsura, he knows black magical and many elemental magic spells (specifically fire elemental spells which are amplified by his fire breathing skills). Unlike in UY, he loses his powers during the moon phase in which he was born under.

"original"? They're both "original," the only difference is how they were coloured but they both came from the same picture.

I think I like the second one better cause it's stronger and I like the sleeveless look better.

I would make the sword white, and I wouldn't put too much red in his outfit. I would put red of course but to me it looks weird that the boots and pants are both red. Maybe it's just me lol.

When u say the sword should be white, do you mean the hilt or the sheathe?

Humm not bad... but cata is right, too much red... how about striped boots instead of the red ones?
and just some more advices...
the belt should be a bit more complex... or just a little bigger, the sword is too tiny for an anime style character, usually the swords in the anime design are very huge but I never liked those huge swords, just make it a little bigger.
OH one more thing, the ear: oni has pointed ear
If you do those little changes I the character should be ok

I don't like things too complex so I wanted the belt to be simple.

The sword actually has no blade 0.0 It actually emits fire so the size isn't that important.

I completely forgot the pointy ears XD

Humm how about changing the colour of the paints and keep the boots' colour? There is too much red in a single part of the body, try to find another colour
About the belt it's ok, it's just a famous cliché that the belt of a superhero or stuff like that should be big or carrying bombs, rope, heads, dead chicken or things like that

But all those particulars aren't very important, the character is already good, just.. make the ear pointy asd

If it's a fire sword then forget about what I said and I agree with Tassadarh (can I call you Tass? )

about the sword thing (make it bigger).

I prefer black boots.
