Now that's something I've never saw! =)

Looks very good but her face looks a bit weird but maybe that's because of the perspective and her bra looks a bit small to me but very well done! :D

PS - Welcome to the Forum!

Hi KaoruMeg

Nice painting... And don't mind the bra... it looks fine to me... the smaller the better... XD

First of all, welcome aboard. :P

Second, the painting looks great, but there's at least one tiny flaw that caught my eye:
Lum never wears make-up, yet you gave her red-painted lips and purple(?)-painted nails.
I don't think would ever do that. xD

Aside from that, the perspective is great and I think it's a really good work. :)

I'm also curious about the one you're using as an avatar. Any chance of posting that a bit bigger? ;D
Signatured postponed until I cba to make a new one. x.x

A tip from one artist to another... acrylics and canvas, not the best of ideas. It's better to stick with heavyweight paper or posterboard when you're using acrylics. Canvas is really only good if you're using oil paints. Personally I dislike painting, and acrylics the most of all, so it's probably not my place to criticize any kind of painting techniques, but you have to watch your edge lines. They're quite sloppy. From the looks of it though, I think that painting isn't your forte, though. It seems as if the drawing beneath the paint made for some pretty good groundwork.

If I were to wager a guess though, I'd say... high school art assignment?
Excuse me, have you seen my mind? I seem to have misplaced it...

I wasn't being mean, I was just trying to offer some advice from someone with 16 years of art education under his belt. Constructive criticism and what not.

If I wanted to be mean I'd have said the painting was garbage, and if all this person can make is crap like this, they should give up.

Or I could really have been mean and said it was great and offered no advice at all. Artists grow through criticism.

if you prefer drawing, why not try doing a manga?

In regards to the art, I think the reflection was done well.

Your avatar seems to have something blocked, can we see the picture without the block (if there is one)?

Oh, and hajimemashite, welcome ^_^

Of course you draw below when you paint, anyone who doesn't doesn't have any clue what they're doing. Like I said though, I generally avoid painting, I'm more of a pencils and ink kinda guy. For a first time painting, it's pretty good, though. That's why I guessed high school art assignment though, you can tell you don't paint often. I'm pretty good with any medium, so I can give you more tips anytime if you'd like. If I can't make it as an English teacher in Japan, I should probably consider Art teacher here in the states.... hmmm, anyway. But yeah, you should post up some of your drawings.

That's not bad. I'm guessing that you have a wacom tablet then?

But I think I'm already starting to notice a trend. Maybe it's just me but your strokes seem to lack confidence. When you're working digitally, it's not as unforgiving as paper, ink and paint. You don't have to be so careful because you have that magical undo button. It's a problem a lot of people have when they're used to tactile media and then go digital. And it's nowhere near as bad as when you get used to digital media and then go back to tactile media. That's a nightmare (unless of course, you hate trees). :)

Thanks. :P

I'll be honest with you: I prefer that one over the one you first posted, not because of the drawing style, but because of the idea behind the picture.

Hope you don't mind I "steal" it for my computer... :P
