LoL... Yes, Urusei Yatsura... but not that I've seen it in the 80's...

One thing I remember from the 80's and was made in Japan (or Korea, Idk... I just know they where asian...) was the Turbo Rangers... and it wasn't the American Version... all actors where asian... LoL

Turbo? in the 80's? wow the Americans must have been really far behind when they started power rangers themselves. XD I love how in normal state, they would be in a city or something then after they morph, they suddenly end up in some deserted area lol.

They were cheap, I believe they used as many of the original scenes as they could. At least that's what it looks like to me.

Well... when I say 80's I mean the late 80's like 1989... XD

I'm not that old...

If you want to search... Kousoku Sentai Turbo Ranger

Power Rangers first started in America in 1991. But Voltron had ownage over the Power Rangers any day.

Anime from the 80's? Other than the obvious (that which this site is dedicated to), how about the original Dragonball? Or Macross (better known stateside as Robotech)? Those were pretty popular. I could name a whole bunch more too, if you want. I remember the 80s quite fondly.
Excuse me, have you seen my mind? I seem to have misplaced it...

Doraemon started in 79, so I don't think it counts. xD

And it only ended in 2005.... Well, those 1787 10-minutes episodes had to come from somewhere. xD

Sorry... I was born in 1992... xD I know UY, DragonBall and a few more. These only reached Portugal long time after their appearance.

Don't forget Maison Ikkoku, and Ranma 1/2 counts too since the Ranma anime premiered in April 1989.

Some others:

Akira
Voltron (GoLion / Dairugger XV)
Gunbuster (Aim for the Top!)
Little Women (Ai no Wakakusa Monogatari)
Creamy Mami (same character designer as UY - Akemi Takada)
Superbook / The Flying House (Bible-based series by Tatsunoko Productions, the first anime I ever saw!)
Mysterious Cities of Gold (animated by Studio Pierrot which also did the early UY)
Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (aka Ronin Warriors in the USA)
Ulysses 31
Noozles (Fushigi na Koala Blinky - we had this on Nickelodeon in the USA)
Kiki's Delivery Service
My Neighbor Totoro
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Castle In the Sky

Does Sailor Moon count? It aired in Portugal when I was... a little kid, around 1996 or something. xD

Sailor Moon started in 1992, so it doesn't count. :P

And Daniel, you could try being a bit more polite, it does wonders. ;)
