The site-logo section has been changed. I have inserted a rotate of all available logo's created by you guys. Unfortunate .png is not supported but I'm working on this. This way you can see how a logo looks on the site. Press Refresh or F5 to see another logo. Order is random. Enjoy!

Search page has been disabled. It didn't work as expected. I will see if I can change this to a working one, sorry.

Some items in the left menu have been disabled for Guests. These options are visible to all registered users on this website.

I did some cleaning up on the forums and underlying code. Should be running a bit smoother now.

I have added a temporary search page to the site. It uses the Google engine. As soon as I have found a better replacement, I will redo the search page. Until then the temporary search page can be found here. Enjoy!

I'm currently updating the 'Download Goodies' section. All links will change and will be moved to the new download-manager. In this way the actual downloads can be counted as well as the page views per file. To download you need to register, just like some boards on the forum. The Complete Musicbox will be adapted as well and will certainly be moved to the same section as all other downloads, tho I'm not sure if you should be registered as well to gain access to The Complete Music Box. Let me know what you think via forum@lum-chan.com

Added a new menu-item: 'Quick gallery Upload' allows you, from almost any page, to upload your images to the Gallery.
I'm now using Gallery Lite but I'm considering an upgrade to the Pro version. The galleries are growing rather fast with lots of images of our beloved Lum.

The Dark Green Theme has been selected as the Default Theme. Others are selectable as well from the menu as well as in your own profile. You can click on the Profile button in the menu bar and choose the option "Look and Layout Preferences".

Theme's Babylon and Classic already have been deleted and aren't available anymore.

Due to current website back-up actions, the website can react slowish from time to time. I'm making time to backup the complete MySQL database and a full backup of the complete website including current content. Duration is a few hours including downloading all the backups made. This in case of a crash of the servers (which do have a daily backup-scheme, but I don't trust backups not in my own possession), or foolish acts of myself while experimenting with codes and database tables :)

It's about time, the last backup dates from 2006-12-26. Stupid! Many things could have going wrong until today. Me slaps me!

All the galleries have been updated and uploaded. Made some changes to the left menu and fixed some missing images. Need to do some modifications on the forum-software itself but need more info/time for this. Probably end of the week of next weeks start.

Updated the Picture Galleries to reflect the changes of the new Theme. Only the Andalucia and the US TV Series need to be updated. This will be done before the end of the week.

Also, I have added new images to the Comics Gallery. This time Italian covers I had them laying around for quite some time. Still more to come, but first let me complete updating the last two (large) galleries on the site.

No extra scroll bars visible in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Due to the new layout (The Green Theme and the variations of it) the site needs a new logo. If you are creative and want to help me out, you can create a new logo with the dimensions 600px X 60px up to 800px X 80px.

The text 'The World of Urusei Yatsura's Lum" has to be in the logo.

You can email your creation to forum@lum-chan.com. I have created a new topic called The World of Urusei Yatsura's Lum Logo Contest and add your emailed logo's and added a Poll to it.
Of course you may submit more than just one logo :D

Added the [youtube] and [/youtube] tags to embed a YouTube move into your post, at special request of janus.
Just one little warning, loading too many embedded YouTube movies on one page may slowdown your browser, not our website, but don't make other visitors crazy with these YouTube movies. I have created a special boards for this.

Blog has been disabled and uninstalled from the website. Getting it to work as I wanted it to was taking too much time for any decent looking result and behaved odd from time to time. It didn't add anything to the website actually....

The PayPal button on the menu has been replaced with a fine working modification. It's also added as a menu bar item called "Treasury". With this option you can Donate money to keep this website running (Hosting fee and such) and offers the possibility to be anonymous as well. Just click on "Treasury" and see for yourself.

Lot's of updates made to the website. Now you can choose from 3 different Themes from the menu item on the left. Blog is being activated but it's not done yet. Several missing images have been re-uploaded. They only showed up in IE as missing. This has been fixed.

The Last 15 Posts in the Left Bar works correctly on Firefox 2.x and 3.x but not correct on Internet Explorer 6.x and 7.0. Author has been notified.

Fixed a lot of errors after updating all the used modifications. These were giving troubles and most of them have been fixed now. Thanks for all the input I received by PM and email. Should you still experience troubles and it's too difficult to explain, you can always send me an email at forum@lum-chan.com. Of course you can send questions, fan mail, Urusei Yatsura images and such too.

Official the correct URL to the website is http://www.lum-chan.com or you can go straight to the main page with following http://forum.lum-chan.com/?page=173. Old redirects such as http://lum-chan.bbox.org or http://lum.hastec.nl will not work anymore.

Unfortunate not every website with these old links respond to my emails, so if you encounter such a outdated link on any website, please inform the webmaster of that site as well as I did, maybe that helps a bit. I just updated to TinyPortal 0.98. Some small bugs in the menu-bar are visible now. I'll try to correct this as soon as possible.

Problems found so far:

* 2x Forum in menu-bar -> FIXED
* 2x expand button at end of menu-bar -> FIXED
* Profile page isn't working now -> FIXED

If you find more 'errors', please let me know in this thread so I can repair these as soon as possible. Thanks!

Today, I have re-uploaded all Galleries due to a error with the ability to download images. This was working for IE but not for the Gecko-based browsers, such as Firefox and Netscape. A download icon has been added.

As a special X-Max Treat I decided to update several Galleries with some new images:
* Calendar Gallery
* Cell Gallery
* Comic Gallery
* Fan-Art Gallery
* Phonecards Gallery
* PictureDisc Gallery
* Sculptures Gallery
* Shonen Sunday Gallery
* Various Images Gallery

This should do fine for the next couple of days. I'm planning on some more updates, but I'm not quite sure when to do these.

Updated several parts of the site and did some database maintenance. Everything should be in working order. All unused pages have been removed from the database as well. This made the database a lot smaller and easier to maintain.

I made a mistake while uploading the new Galleries. With Firefox or Netscape navigator you aren't able to right-click and download the images. A special download icon for each image in the Galleries will be added as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused to you. This will be fixed at the end of Sunday 23rd of December. Sorry!

A fresh update for today. All Image Galleries have been updated to a new format. This will enable you to browse faster through any Gallery available. It took almost 6 hours to redo all of these and upload them to the server. Also the navigation part has been updated to reflect these changes.

If there's any time left between now and 31st of December, I'll try to upload new galleries and updates to existing galleries.

Currently I'm updating the forum to integrate the main-site into the forum. This means some of the links in the navigation menu won't work while I'm working on this. In the next couple of days the last links will be updated and internal links will be fixed as well. The 'old' main-site won't be updated anymore and will be replaced by this forum when it's ready.

A user-base cleanup will be started within a few weeks. All accounts which haven't been used, ie. zero post accounts, will be deleted if they are older than 2 years. If you happen to have an account on this forum I advice you to use it.

Before the actual deletion starts, all accounts will be sent an email to check if the email-account is still valid. If it's not valid anymore, it will be deleted. Make sure your account contains a valid email address.

It is of great importance for you as a member to keep you own account up-to-date. In case of a password-loss you can get your account re-activated by email. We won't enable/change passwords on request via email or PM. If you don't get an confirmation by email of your email-change, please leave me a PM with your user-name and email-address, so I can look into this.

Updated all the main-site pages to correct a huge script-error in the heading of each page. This piece of old code prevented the fast loading of the pages in certain out-dated browsers. Should be working quite fast now.

The past few days we are having technical difficulties on our connection. Our webhosting is currently under a heavy DDOS attack which prevents many users from accessing out site. The people of our webhosting are currently working to resolve these problems as good as the can.

We're very sorry for any uncleanness this may have caused to you. We haven't been taken down at all and are working together with our webhosting to get this worked out.

As we are online for 10 years this month we have a special treat for all of you, loyal visitors! It has been asked for a long time a go if it was possible to put The Complete Music box online. After such a long wait we have decided to put is on our website for only one month.

It has been encoded in the popular .MP3 format with 128 kbps at 44.1 kHz. Most of the tracks have names now.
Get it wile it lasts for only one month. At the start of December the downloads will be removed from the server.

It was brought to my attention the search function on the main-site still pointed to the old location. I have updated the search-engine and added the extended search options again. The forum itself isn't indexed yet. This depends on how the search-engine handles .php. If this doesn't work you always can use the search option on the forum itself.

Major update! I have added a grand total of 1038 images worth of new screenshots which have been taken from Canal2 Andalucia.
New indexes have been added to the site and some small bugfixes in the code have been fixed.

Today we have updated the main-site menu. New options have been added en some options have been moved to a new section.

* Community - Lum's Forum, Lum's IRC chat and Lum's Guestbook
* Where to buy UY stuff - The name says it all
* New menu graphics added

Made some small changes to the forum as well.

* Graphical tags for user groups
* Fixed small coding errors in the php source
* Chat-module updated to the latest version

More updates are now in the making and will be uploaded shortly.

Updated the whole site, including the external sections, with the new layout and color setting.

After being away for a few days, I discovered a non functional forum. I've been working on this to fix for some hours and decided to upgrade the forum to the latest version of SMF, 1.1 RC3

As you can see, the the nice theme is lost and as far as I can see it's no longer supported in this release.
I'm currently looking for a new/better theme and might be forced to redo the main site as well (sniff, sniff)

I'll keep you all informed on this in this thread.

Fixed some small typo's in the headers and footers of each page. Updated the email-form. Anytime you click on the email-icon on top of each page, you will be directed to the new/updated email page.
Due to many small fixes in the code of many pages we are now at revision 4.51 of "The World of Urusei Yatura's Lum"

Both the Help and Email pages will be updated as soon as possible and will be changed to a pop-up window to keep navigation as easy as counting one, two, three...

At last we have updated the site to have it shown as it should be in Microsoft Internet Explorer as it is in Mozilla Firefox already. It took some time to get this fixed.
When viewing this site in Internet Explorer the font size of the text was way too big. If you are now using IE it looks just like the version as seen when using Mozilla Firefox.

Due to a way too busy schedule at the office the last 7 months, I wasn't able to update the site as much as I wanted. My humble apologies for this to you. As time passes by and after rebuilding my local network from scratch, I decided to put more time in maintaining this website again.

Scheduled are some updates to the Image Galleries and a fine preparation for the upcoming Anniversary of this site. Somewhere in October or November we are online for 10 years! Sounds great huh?. I'm working on a sub part of the site which will be a great but temporary addition to the site. I won't tell you any further details on this but I bet you will really appreciate this as it has been asked for for many, many years :)

So keep your eyes peeled to the site in the 3rd quarter of this year as something you've always wanted to know/have/read but were afraid to ask.

Some Really, Really Sad News:

I am forced to take down the guestbook! Some stupid idiot who seems to like online gambling decided to flood the guestbook with annoying messages to promote his/her stupid, crappy, newbie gambling site. I'm working on something better for this with more capabilities to auto-post abuse of our service to the provider of the offending IP addresses I already have collected. (Ripe rules at that point!). Second: Hosting providers of those sites have been notified of these commercial sites on their free-webspace. That's all I have to say on this for now.
A new guestbook will be activated as soon as I have found another good working app for this.
Sorry for any troubles this may have caused.
