Ontario - rooster crowing is outlawed within the city limits. Pacific Grove - bothering the butterflies carries a $500 fine. Pico River - it is against the law for women weighing over 200 pounds that are attired in shorts to ride a horse. Pomona - the law states that "no person shall hallo, shout, bawl, scream, use profane language, dance, sing, whoop, quarrel, or make any unusual noise or sound in any house in such a manner as to disturb the peace and quiet of the neighborhood." San Francisco - there is a law that guarantees sunshine for the people. Santa Ana - it is illegal to swim on dry land. Santa Ana - it is against the law for a horse to sleep in a bakery. Santa Monica - the law states that "any person who shall in the city of Santa Monica use or carry a concealed or unconcealed any bean snapper or like article, shall, upon conviction, be fined." Temecula - it is illegal to play cards with children or pregnant women on the curb of a street. Upland - it is unlawful for the owner or keeper of horses, mules, cattle, sheep, goats, and hogs to "run at large." Ventura - it is illegal to make "ugly faces" at dogs that are found "freely roaming the community". Victorville - it is against the law to shoot open canned goods with a revolver.

In 2004 and 2006 Portugal had a good team but now, I don't like to say this but, Portugal sucks. I don't like the coach too much. Scolari just play the same way game after game after game and so on. And it's normal that the other teams know how to win if the other teams do the same play over and over again.

Now I'm concentrate in the football clubs instead of the National Teams. And last night there was magic in "Estadio da Luz" with Rui Costa giving magic and goals to the team of Benfica, and the fans like it (With 35 years it seems that he have just 20). In tuesday we will have a great match against AC Milan. I give you this video just watch.

In my childhood I saw some great anime like Ronin Warriors, Dragonball, Ranma, and Monster Rancher. To me Urusei Yatsura is a great anime. But my all time favorite anime has to be Pokemon.
Even though I'm 21 I still enjoy pokemon. The wife has no problem with that thats why I love her. She even does some cosplay for me in bed. Like May and Dawn.

I'm 18 myself and I still ike to watch animes like Pokemon, Doraemon and CCC (Card Captor Sakura). I don't "hunt" for them exactly, but if they passed on television, I'd watch them.
I also liked Sailor Moon, Beyblade, Digimon, Ninja Hatori and many others. I've seen so many animes I can't count them (from the time when I still called them cartoons :P).

well I think the baby-fighter was funny, and the picture, well many creators use the words like "deadly weapon" or "mortal gun", so that's why I didn't pay attention to "killer" and "alive" because they are used too often that they don't sound as terrifying as they did.

I never understood the fear of zombies honestly. Sure they're pretty hard to kill, but: 1. They're VERY slow. 2. They're dumb as anything (they want brains for a reason). 3. The only things coming out of their mouths is drool, "BRAAAAIINS!" and the occasional moan.
Maybe it's me, but zombies never scared me that much.

Duck Hunt was also one of the easiest games to cheat at that I ever knew. With the Zapper in the first controller port, and a regular controller in the second, you can use the second controller to guide the ducks (though there was still some randomness to it). I remember when I was a kid playing it, I used to guide the ducks to the upper left corner and shoot them from there. Made the game way too easy. Never really liked Duck Hunt much.

And also, It'd take more than a nuclear holocaust to kill me... unless I was in the blast radius. At least I know a bit about firearms and how to handle them. And I'm a pretty good shot, to boot. ;D

As far as a most common icebreaker, I'd say it's probably the most practical one. "Hello."
Practical, but boring. As far as pickup lines though, I have one that cannot be topped and has actually been successful before, surprisingly. "Nice tits, wanna f~~k?"

Epic fail? Sounds more like strategy to me. If you don't have a watch, asking for the time gives you an excuse to talk to someone if you're not comfortable just walking up to them and asking them about some random thing.
I tell you though... there's really no trick to talking to women. They're people, too. Just treat them like any other person and let conversation flow natural. Otherwise you just end up looking awkward and stupid. Guys who worry too much about not being liked by girls are most likely not liked by girls because they worry about it too much. It's one of those roundabout things like the fat girl who eats because she's depressed and is depressed because she eats. Even I, who is probably one of the most awkward people in the world when I'm around strange people, acknowledge this. That's why I said "hello" is probably the most practical and most used pickup line. I don't care what UruseiNeo says about it being "Do you have the time?" You always begin with hello (or some derivative, like "Hi" or "Howdy"), otherwise you automatically earn points as being rude. It's such a natural thing that people don't even realize it.

I think he meant that his friend had a watch and forgot to take it off when he asked for the time.
Anyways, this isn't MY opinion, this is based off some quiz thing I heard. But it does make sense hmmm... Also I dont think it was supposed to be labeled as a "pick up line"
I think the reason why "Do you have the time?" is supposed to be more common than "hi" is because if you went up to a girl and just said "Hello," for what seems like no reason, it would probably give the impression of being rather forward (we're trying to not give that impression, I believe. Some people don't like that) whereas if you asked for the time, it doesn't feel forward, its not cheesy, there's absolutely no way to judge this man based on that one comment.

Anyway, I still say it's better to say hello first. Asking for the time is fine, but if you start with a friendly hello first, it sets a better mood for friendly conversation. Forward or not, it lets the person you're talking to know "I'd like to talk to you" instead of just "I want to know the time". If they want to talk, it makes it easier to talk, and if not, their reaction to hello will let you know if it will be a wasted effort. Believe it or not, first impressions are everything in human interaction, and the first words you say set the tone for everything that follows.

"Pickuper": Do you have the time? 'Cuz I got the place.
I don't really know what to say when I meet a person like... "hey, how's it going? Good, me too." and then I go "hum... yeah"
Like I really don't know what to say next, specially if it's a guy. When it's a girl I feel more comfortable and I don't really know why I just break the ice by throwing jokes and joke around but sometimes when I think that the person isn't going to take my jokes well, I just get stuck.

Just a thought, it's most likely that the reason you're more comfortable around other girls than around guy is because you are a victim of society's mindset that programs us from an early age that men and women are somehow fundamentally different, when we are not. I've always thought that was one of the fundamental problems with society. Sometimes I wonder if that, along with a hundred other problems that are the basic ills of society, can ever be fixed without tearing it all down and rebuilding from the ground up. Oh well.

I always got along with guys, mostly because I have always been a tomboy. It began from the very first days of my life until I was 13 years old. After that, it all changed. I couldn't get along as good as I used to with guys and instead, I was getting along with girls and this still hasn't changed back. I'm not saying that I prefer to get along with guys. Nope, it's the way our current education system is designed. The formation of social cliques and the bullying that usually results of it is all part of the design. It's meant to dissuade non-social tendencies. People who don't get along with others get picked on and made to feel week until they seek the protection of others. The acts of extreme school violence that have been happening over the past decade (April 20th marks the 10th anniversary of the Columbine massacre) are a result of that system spiraling out of control. Actually, for the past 10 years, a lot of aspects of modern society are spiraling out of control. Look at the state of the economy if you want another example. Or our overpaid, underemployed work force that sees corporations turning to third world countries to make up the difference in labor costs. The whole damned system has begun to collapse, and nobody who can do anything about it knows how to fix it. :)

I've been bullyied ever since I was 10 until I was 15 but when I was 10, 11, 12 and 13 were the worst years of my life. But even at that time I only got along with 3 guys and 2 girls (from school and they were victims of bullying, too). Outside school, I had 5 girl friends and 2 or 3 guy friends. Then I changed school and I got 4 amazing girl friends and one awesome guy friend. Last year, I changed school again and I've met more 15 girl friends and 2 more guy friends. It's not like I reject males but I don't know. I think I scare them off. But so what? I'm not going to be sad about it because I already have awesome friends.
Society needs to change... now! Not only the world crisis is threatening us but we also have global warning on us.

Global warming isn't the threat that the hippies and Al Gore make it out to be. Fact is, the planet is still in a warming period that's been going on since the last ice age ended 15,000 years ago. Even without humans on Earth, there would still be global warming. I actually think (and current research is starting to agree with me) that we're right about at the midpoint of the current warming period and the planet is about to start a period of global cooling. Which is the reason why the weather's been so out of whack the last few years. No, if we humans have done anything regarding the global climate, the only thing we've done is procrastinate the apexing of the global average temperature a few years. Even if we could have some serious impact on the environment, the Earth would eventually recover herself, and humanity will ultimately adapt and find a way to survive it (and if we don't, then wouldn't that mean we weren't fit for survival in the first place?).
Nope, the only thing you have to fear is not the Earth failing us. Even the collapse of society isn't something to fear. No, if you want something to fear, fear the thought of us nor developing and implementing a source of energy that doesn't rely on fossil fuels within the next 30 years (and that may be pushing it). Because once the world's oil supply peaks, well, if you think things in the middle east are bad now...
Anyway, enough rant. So basically your problem, cata, is circumstance. If you're happy with what you have, friend-wise, don't worry about it. Most of them will disappear when you graduate anyway. Then you'll find new friends and potential mates.

The shame of failing is nothing compared to the frustration of being offered to skip grades, twice no less, and your parents refusing to let you do so because they want you to be in classes with your "peer group", despite having reached a college level in all subjects while still in middle school. I mean what the f~~k? I was helping my older brother with high school algebra in second grade, and they wouldn't let me skip that year? And seventh grade? Just as much of a joke. Frustration indeed.
Although it is kinda funny when they make you study your multiplication tables in school and then you go home and study trig. And sleeping through high school while acing every test was kinda funny, too. School was always such a joke.

Let me add something to that, more often than not, college friends usually play a bigger role in one's ongoing adult than high school friends do. For many, the only time they really care about their old high school friends after they've grown up and started to find their place in the world is when they go to their class reunions.

I don't think I'll go to university. I can't (and I mean it!) sit down and study. I'm serious. One week before a written test of History I sat, opened my book, grabbed 2 pens and brought along a notebook. At the 6th page, I was reading this text but in my head it felt as if I was dreaming because nothing felt real. I was reading and I couldn't remember what I had just read. And at the 5th attempt to read that stupid 6th page's text every single phrease seemed like this:

I don't know what course you're planning on going to in the university, but I believe that if you make good friends there, you're bound to push each other into studying at least a little bit. You probably won't study as much as you could (you start joking when you study with friends), but at least you'll be studying a bit. Don't dispair yet, just see how it goes. :P

It's funny, I like history and hate math. But I'm bad at history and good at math. Go figure.
The only problem with studying history is that I have trouble remembering insignificant dates and long lists of the names of royalty. Other than that, history is pretty cool. There are a lot of good stories to be found. Math on the other hand, is boring. Probably because it's easy for me. All you have to do for math is remember formulas and plug in numbers.
Even funnier is that despite my skill with and passion for writing, English was always my LEAST favorite class. I could never stand reading all those boring stories they made us read that weren't interesting at all, and I have trouble writing when the subject doesn't interest me either. If only they didn't stick literature and grammar together in a single class...
But then again, my favorite subject was always art.

There's quite a bit more to world economics than just history, math and geography. Actually, geography has very little to do with it, if you consider politics as part of the equation. In that case, the only thing geography has to do with anything is availability of resources. But when you actually get into economics, and start understanding the effects of trade, resource availability becomes more of a political than a geographic factor.
On that subject, there is one thing I must say. First off, this current "economic crisis" we're in is nothing more than something we've been delaying for the past 80 years or so. I wouldn't even call it a crisis so much as the early stages of an economic revolution that's been waiting to happen since the fall of imperialism. Various countries have been using various methods to put it off as long as it has been, and many countries having suffered greatly for it (the entire third world, for example). As much as we may have to suffer through this, ultimately, it will be for the betterment of the entire world, as it's going to force a restructuring of the entire political-economic system that mankind has cobbled together over the past 6000 years. What I want to say is this, I am glad to be living in the time that I'm living in, because in my lifetime, I may get to see the restructuring of the entire world society. It's going to be fun to watch. :)

Nah... You must be seeing it from a diferent point of view... Because what I learned is that economy itself outdates any politics... and geography as lots to do with economy... not just for the resources... and they have nothing to do with politics...
Btw, how does politics affect trade? Even if a country blocks trade with another (by political reasons) do you think that the blocked country won't be able to trade anymore???
And geography plays a big role on economics... Your not going to make shipyard on a mountain with no lakes rivers or sea near it... (stupid example but it works)
But... what the hell, I could be wrong after all its not that I study it or something... ::)

I have Geography as a subject and it's not just resources that matter in economics. We study population growth and cities' development, which include ways of travelling, commerce, buildings, aging of population, etc.

It's a dynamic I don't think I can fully explain. At least not by myself. But it's not just something simple like one party versus another party. There's a whole world out there. 200+ countries with their own political parties, perspectives, needs and wants. To understand the scope of it all is something beyond even my capabilities.

I didn't miss your point, I just think you're wrong. This kinda stuff is something I've been observing and analyzing for more than half of my life. I can give many examples from throughout history that can serve to dispute your claims of location and terrain being so important, but it would be more trouble than it's worth to really get into it. If you want to understand the dynamics of the world stage a little better, since we're referencing video games (with your EVE Online reference), then might I suggest you go pick yourself up a copy of one of the Civilization games? By the time you're able to beat a marathon game on at least Immortal difficulty, I'm sure you'll have a pretty good idea of how it works, because that game does a pretty damned good job of emulating world politics.
By the way, your idea of how the world is and how it should be, it's quite a bit... off. It's actually NOT an ogliarchy. It may look that way because our weak government has come to rely too heavily on private corporations to keep the country going, and while those corporations may have influence over that government, they do not control it. And a democracy? A democracy is a dream that cannot TRULY work as a system of government, much the same way communism was the same thing. Democracy didn't work in ancient Greece, and it's not working in the modern world, either. People are just too stupid for it to work properly. They're easily deceived and easily manipulated, especially now that we have such things as mass media and the internet.
No, in the end, no matter how many brains get together and try and come up with the "perfect government", there is no such thing, as it is the very idea of government that is the core of the problem in the first place. Someday, mankind will realize that we don't need such things as government or religion telling us how to live, and we will cast such foolish abstracts aside and live the way we were meant to live. Then explain why certain nations/empires/civilizations or whatever you want to call them have succeeded and others have failed, historically, when they were in the same geographical locations? Hell, explain why the same nations/empires/civilizations/whatever were so powerful at certain points in history, and so easily collapsed even just a few hundred years later? Rome is a good example. Babylon is another. Geography is relatively unimportant in the greater scheme of things.

I'm trying to pass this year. I even asked my "friend" to give me some math explanations. Let's see how this 3rd and final period goes.
