My older brother is getting married this saturday. :o He is getting hitched with a columbian girl named Ingrid. To be honest I am extreamly proud for him. It wasnt that long ago that he was living in our guest bedroom and couldnt keep a job even if his life depended on it. Now he has his own business and is quite successfull at what he does. Now that he is getting married he is started to learn one key aspect at the way the world works... that concept is simple. Women rule the world, Men just dont accept it.
I would like to hear what you guys think about it. Is 26 years old too young to marry? too old? Do you really think that what I just said about who rules the world is true?

About those questions:
I'm not exactly a wedding expert but I'd say age has nothing to do with it (of course you can't be below 18 or 21, depending on the country).
And I don't think anyone rules the world, though there are more women (I think).

About marriage, I'm 35 and still don't even think about it...I think you just have to meet the right woman to start thinking about it...and hope to not make some horrible mistake!! 8)

Ok, we just got through the wedding dinner.. It was fun to say the least. Especially when half the people in the dinner need translators to understand what the other half is toasting about.
What was really awkward was when my mom (drunk as a door knob at the time) did a toast the involved the following quote:
May all your ups and downs in marriage be in the bedroom!
Man the translators had a hard time decideing what to tell all the very up tight columbians what their future relative in law just said in a drunken stupor..
I was worried they were going to bring out the machete's and scream AI lalalalalalala while hacking us gringos apart.
Now this is for darkdevil... A gringo is a caucasian person who is totally oblivios to the latino culture. Its more or less a joke in texas, sense we live right on top of mexico.
(also for darkdevil, A machete is a long blade used to cut weeds in the jungle...)
