Ok, Dark. I'll explain. If you don't feel anything when it's your B-day and everyone ignores you knowing that it is your B-day, then you just will facing it as a normal day. But another person in the same situation as you, being ignored by everyone in his own B-day, would be really depressed. So, when compared you and this other person, you would be rated as "happy".

I don't think 16 i technically adulthood here either I think 16 is just the year you get to start doing things you couldn't before like learn to drive and most jobs require 16+

16 is far from adulthood. It's not even really special here in the states, other than it being the age where you can get a driver's license and drop out of school. 18 is nice and comes with a lot of freedoms... you can vote, make your own decisions in life and are considered legal for most things, but it's 21 where you get the almost full privileges as an adult. 25 is where you get the last remaining few little things of adulthood, though.

Continuing with my preoccupation with seiyuu birthdays: Shuutoru Mendou's seiyuu, Akira Kamiya is 63 today. Just saw a news report about him: he's leaving the series Detective Conan after a 13-year run voicing character Kogoro Mouri. He gives no details on why he has decided to leave the show. Hope all is well and we'll be able to wish him many more Happy Birthdays in the decades to come.
And, I missed a birthday greeting to the "Angel Voice" herself (that's the title of her website, BTW): happy 50th Birthday to Saeko Shimazu, voice of Shinobu Miyake (and so so so many others); born 08 September 1959. A search turned positive: Mio Akiyama from K-On!. But, I was too late and missed the pre-order deadline. So, I watched and waited. Finally: released. Found this one (amongst some others) on eBay.

Happy Birthday tomorrow (it's today for the homebase of this board, so ...) March 18th to the 8th Valkyrie, Cata. Long-lost to the board, she was a central character to its lively demeanor when I first showed up 6 (or 7?) years ago. I hope she's doing well (studying hard at Uni' toward her Law degree, last we heard). May God see fit to bless you and keep you safe, Cata. I miss you.
Also: Happy BD on March 18th to the King of Gensoukyo, the "kannushi" of the Hakurei Shrine: ZUN (Jun'ya Outa) turns 37. While his gift is not the same as Rumiko Takahashi's (and he's nowhere near as cute as Cata), it is nonetheless large and prodigious and a force to be reckoned with. I enjoy the fan-fever (all the doujin and music and illustrations) that surrounds the games (so much so that I went to the big Touhou con, Hakurei Jinja Reitaisai, last year, and I'm returning to Reitaisai this year OMG!!!)

Mh...it seems I've been out of here for...4 years??? Really??? Whoa, impressing...it seems I've missed a lot of your bdays...is it the same if I wish for all of them in a single shot??? XP Sadly I've been overrun by job's issues (growing day after day) and several personal side-activities and years passed by in a wink! T___T Right now I'm even following 2 school courses and probably I'll be unable to come back for a long time...but I'm still alive, and still a Lum's psycho at all, and I'll try to come for a visit in the future! ;P
