Yes after 23 years of its debut at Japan UY finally arrives at Portugal  :?
It passes at 12:00/20:00/2:30 from Monday to Friday with a compact of five episodes at 11:00 on Sunday at sicradical, it debuted at the beginning of June and by now its already on episode 92: Strange! The wonder medicine of selflessness. It also pass at sic at 4:00, it usualy passes only 1 episode but sometimes it passes 2 or even 3 episodes!! :D
Thanks to this now UY is my number 1 Anime and I just love it! Also there are starting to apper UY fans all over Portugal, just amazing!!!!!

Im afraid that the SR directors, take uy of the air because of all the people that wants to get rid of uy.
they say its awfull, and want hentai and other stuff, but in my oppinion uy is the best.

They wont. I asked Penin (the SR director) via e-mail if UY would continue and he said yes and that they would passe all the episodes. About people saying UY its crap I just saw a few in the SR forum but I saw a lot more people saying the series are great and asking were can they get information and other stuff in the forum and off the forum. Besides, if SR taked a thing of the air because of people saying it's crap them programs like Raw (wrestling) would be off the air in no time despise being one of the programs with more audience. So dont be afraid of UY going off the air cuz it wont.

Is this a station which broadcasts by air or via satallite (last would be cool) ?
Then I could watch UY at last :D)
Title: Re: UY in Portugal.
Post by: Pac on December 02, 2004, 06:39:29 PM
I don't know but unless you understand portuguese you won't understand anything cuz the subtittles are in portuguese
Title: Re: UY in Portugal.
Post by: Lum-chan on December 02, 2004, 06:44:18 PM
Just watching UY is good for me :) even if I don't understand what my favo characters are saying.
Could you check this for me and if it does transmit by Satallite, which one and station name? I'm able to change the direction where the disc is pointing to...
If it transmits by air then I'm out of luck, I'm afraid...

As already said some tme ago, nothing else was able to make me feel like 5th movie did the first time I saw it, and even the second and the third time...  :) :)

The 4th is something you will have to see at least twice or thrice to fully understand it...
The 6th is not at the level of the 5th but how could you miss it?  ;)

I think Lum is being aired in SIC at 4:30 Am but its confusing because for example the 68th episode is aired today tomorow is 114th episode :? or they replace Lum episode by an other anime called One Piece whitch i may say its very intertaining and funny.

By the way im working at night thats how i see it at 4:30.

Yeah... it would be cool... but, SIC Mulher.. airing anime? i don't think so... it would be cool tough...
If none of the SIC Channels air Lum, then, forget about it... i don't think that TVI and RTP1 will air... lol... this channels suck, when it comes down to anime. I think that the only chance is SIC Radical... but not right now. SIC Radical has the habit to repeat the TV Series, so... maybe... they will air Lum again... in a near... or distant... future...
Title: Re: UY in Portugal.
Post by: Pac on October 01, 2005, 02:28:52 PM
Is it me or TVI is airing Hack at 4am? I mean, airing UY and One Piece at 4 am was bad but UY aired in Sic Radical at decent hours and Sic aired One Piece in the summer holidays when people can stay awake till that time but man... They start airing just after the summer holidays are over and Hack is a 24 episodes anime while UY and OP are really big ones... TVI is the crap...

Ah e a primeira OVA foi a "Inaba the Dream Maker". Bons velhos tempos...

In Italy is one of the most important vacancy: is the anniversary of the freedom from the fascism after a painful and bloody civili war (from 8/8/1943 to 25/4/1945).

Yes, you are from Portugal... but not everyone is... so at least post in Portuguese and then english... in the same post obviously...

Btw, the ex-General Manager of Sic Radical... Francisco Penim... said he was a fan of the series... and thats why he aired the complete series and OVA's on the channel...

Now from now on I think it will be airing Naruto... at 8pm

Edit: Its from 7:30 and 8 LoL 2 episodes a day... of Naruto... 8)7   :-\

...and you are lucky they aired the full series!!
Recently in Italy the dubbing of the episodes has been completed (they just took more than 20 years!!!) and finally I have all of them in DVD (except the Kaede special!), but they are available for sale only, there hasn't been any airing from italian tv channels! And I think they will never do it again!

Hi! Another portuguese here! Lum is my favorite anime by far... I love too much the series, that, when it aired on Sic and Sic Radical, I saw the new episode at 18:30 on Sic Radical, the repetition of that episode, and the new episode on Sic lol
It's the only anime from the dozens that I saw, that make me laught a lot... I reached a point where I laught only by seeing Ataru's or Kotatsuneko's faces lol

Rumiko Takahashi is a genius, period. UY is an amazing work of art...

I'd like to see UY again in Portugal  :( The best anime that blessed our channels  :P

English: Well, there was an amount of complaints sent to Penin, to cut Lum from Sic Radical... I don't know the reasons, but I supose that was simply because the people who made the complaints didn't like the anime. But Penin stayed faithful to his word, and aired Lum to the final episode, incluinding somes movies or ovas, I don't remember.
Portuguese people only like DB because the 90's fever, and now, Naruto... what a shame.

Eu a ver comentários meus com 10 anos... ::)

Ainda hoje me lembro desse dia.
