It looks like she can fly... and some doors on the first level transport your somewhere. Can anyone make sense of this?

Lum no Wedding Bell is the UY game on FAMICON, the 8-bit Nintendo consolle! Â :)
It's the same as an old arcade, I don't remember the right name, it was something like MOMO 120% or similar... in that game you are a little girl into a kindergarten on fire and must reach the escalators to go to upper floors using a water-gun as weapon against flames, until you reach the roof and are saved by planes or baloons...
The second stage is into elementary school, obviously on fire...
The game goes on through all schools and university, until the girl reach a church and proceed to her wedding!! ^^
UY game is the same, but the little girl is Lum, she shoots lighthing bolts against strange aliens and  is saved on the roof by her UFO! ^^
The game is quite hard, I never passed 3rd stage... too bad, I would like to see her wedding in the ending of the game... Â :P

In the original game the girl was able to jump over little distances, so makes Lum... if she could fly the game would be too easy!!
The "transporters" was meant to use in the harder levels, where the scales seems impossible to reach!

I think the game you're refering to is namco's Wonder MOMO for Turbo Gfx

I don't know that turbographics game, but the one I was talking about was an arcade, it's name was something like MOMOKO 120% (not MOMO, my mistake... xp)... :@

I played it when I am a child in 1986.
Very funny game, even though it was too bad video performance in 8-bit Nintendo Famicom (We called it "red and white machine")

Its a good game, youd don't need to understand Japanese to play it but it is as hard as **** to play.

I tried to play that game long ago... unsuccessfully :-\
Anyway, i'd love to put my hands on the UY DS game... what a pity that is Japan exclusive :-[

You can play Endless Summer (DS) using roms. My problem is that I can't understand anything of what I'm supposed to do. =/

Well yeah, but I always felt terrible everytime I talked to Lum because I ended up getting her angry without knowing why. I remember that at one point I avoided her because of it. xD

Yeah, that is my problem too. But the game is kinda funny, because you play as Ataru and your job is running after girls lol. Sadly, we didn't have a port of Endless Summer :-\

Lol i had a talk wit Lum before and she seemed pretty happy xP But the talked wit Sakura ended up wit me getting kicked into space.

I just started playing the Endless Summer after reading your comments and realizing it exists and it's pretty fun. I understand Japanese pretty well so I can tell what the chars are saying most of the time. Though I do wish more of it was voiced >.<

^ I'm so jealous of you!!! And no, it's not because I've never been kicked by Benten but because I want to understand japanese just as much as I understand portuguese (my native language)!

I learned through lots and lots of studying.
I think you're lucky to know Portuguese. I want to learn it and go to Brazil sometime.

I envy u again swizzle :X The only UY games i were able to play without difficulty was Lum no wedding bell and my dear friends XP

I did take some japanese classes but it's not enough. Maybe I'll take more classes once I become a lawyer. =)
