Anyone remembers the episode when the typhoon was coming... and Ataru and Lum helped board up the house.

Sure he did... Because the spirit/ghost/whatever messed up his personality. An the personality wouldn't change to anything else...

he has that personality since he was a little child, long before he met lum, cherry or sakura, remember the episode where lum heads back in time to try and change ataru's personality with electrotherapy and the picture of ataru's parents standing infront of the new house was changed

actual he may have become a pervert, but back then a similar additude was the reason he was playing shadow tag in that movie, that's why i agree with cosmic in him evolving, he became worse over time and thus becoming a pervert

Actually, I think he devolved as he grew older.

I think that when he met Lum his perv mind was at the higher point. Then it slowly devolved along the episodes. But I agree with Forgotten, too.

Good one,necron99,but although most of the time ataru folks seem to dislike him,they really care for him,for example in episode 177,ataru's mom shows some affection towards her son
