Hehe he's my favorite too. He's cute (in his... own little way...), his voice actor is Chiba Shigeru-sama:

And the part on episode 10 where he puts on lipstick and laughs maniacally is priceless! Darn I can't find a piccy of it... ;(

I dont no why but sometimes Megane is a bit..... Crazy when he starts to talk about them remembering their teenagers time when they become old and i think Megane is some kind of personification of the state of mind of Rumiko Takahashi about the role of the teens for the future of the mother land and whit all the references to the so called glory times of the Japanese Empire of the WWII

Megane is such an excellent character,i love when he got a LOT inspired when Lum-sama gave him a love letter (OVA 9 Catch The Heart)
here's something he screamed with a megaphone:
" I,Megane,17 years of age...am at this moment,violently,furiously,terrifically,inspired!!!
Come to think of it,the past 17 years were only days of suffering and endurance!

besides,megane was dubbed by Shigeru Chiba,famous 4 those kinda characters

Lets also remark he is da brain (and voice) of the Lum stormtroopers
in my group of friends that are also known as Stormtroopers here at Mexico,i consider meself Satoshi Megane (i also use glasses...sometimes),the others are my underlings

well i dont, i almost wished they(lum's stormtroopers) died in the episode where they tried to save lum from mendo and just leave ataru and lum alone

In the manga they were only briefly used early on as nameless members of Lum's fan club. By the time Mendo shows up, they vanished from the manga never to be seen again. The anime on the other hand extrapolated upon their brief appearance and made them into four very distinct personalities in co-starring roles. Especially in the case of Megane who becomes a notorious scene-stealer, they practically impose themselves on the story and interfere with the triangle between Lum, Ataru and Mendo. Megane for example is given so much screen time, that he often takes emphasis away from Mendo's role which is extrememly important to the manga. The characters may have been entertaining, but they were in essence spare baggage. Megane and the others became a favorite tool of the animators for expressing their bemusement at otaku culture.
